I mean… I won’t act like I couldn’t have downed 10 scoops of pre workout, because I totally could have!
The air refuses to cooperate here in New England, and my struggle to breathe continues.
3.65 miles in the books – far from pretty, but I’ll take it!
Did you get your sweat on today?
Fur mom life, am I right?! 😍
I usually finish before she wakes up, but sometimes she comes out before I finish and commandeers my space, tries to step all over my face (floor work + a playful, rambunctious pup…)
Even so, this is still better than having to schlep myself to a gym, wait for machines, and share sweat with those who ‘don’t remember’ to wipe things down…
That’s why I love being able to do my thing in the comfort of my own home. Some people love gyms, and power to them – you do you!
But I haven’t been to a gym in about 8 years now, and I think I’m doing okay… puppy distractions simply mean it takes a little longer, but I am firmly ‘team puppy love’!
As long as it gets done (and it does!)
Today is supposed to be a day off from my program, so I was gonna run, but this weather is not run-friendly so I instead opted to do Friday’s workout today, and hopefully Mother Nature calms her shit so I can run Friday… (hint, hint, girl…)
Well, Joel had some surprises for me today, starting with a full body HIIT workout including a move I have never done… obviously there is MUCH room for improvement here, but I’m willing to work for it, I’m willing to improve.
If you aren’t willing to work for it, to work towards improvement, nothing I say or do can help you.
YOU have to be willing to put in the work – you ready?!
Apparently, these new kicks had me feeling extra badassy, because I was deadlifting more than half my body weight today!
No big deal, right? Well actually, to me it is, because again, I keep flashing back to a time in my life where walking was painful, nevermind lifting anything.
And I didn’t go from not being able to lift anything to lifting more than half my weight… I progressed. I got stronger. It’s just another testament to how far I’ve come and the POWER of CONSISTENCY.
The sooner you honor yourself by showing up every day, the sooner you will be at your strongest!
Ready for a short but effective program, one only 4 days a week, so a nice slower pace for summer?
Ready to get your body to where you know it can go?
Ready to ditch any excuses, and show up for 8 weeks, 4 days a week to carve out your BEST self?
Ready to do it with me?
Here is one fun move from the program – early access is available July 16th for this program – it doesn’t come out till October for everyone else!
You wanna be one of the first to complete it? Let’s do it!

Up at 0300 to get a workout and shower in before a 0530 flight…
Followed by a 3.5 mile run here in Michigan, in shoes I haven’t broken in, on hilly, dirt roads (only ran on pavement before) soooooo you can imagine how humbling a run THAT was (almost cried AND almost got sick, haha)
*note to self: no runs on dirt roads everrrrrr*
Followed by chin-ups and monkey bars on the playground… I’m tired, haha. I still struggle with chin-ups, but practice makes me better – I am working on it!
It’s been quite a day but I’ve loved every second!
I mean shit, I absolutely crushed this move today; 10 rounds of it and this was actually the last round and I got FULL EXTENSION of my legs and DID NOT topple over this time…
This move was always hard for me to get enough oomph to get a full extension, because it is the last move of a round, and my wrists are always shredded by the time we get to it, but today was no problem! Felt awesome to get some solid ones in!

It’s Saturday – who’s getting their sweat on?!
Today I tried a workout I had not done before – T25’s Gamma Rip’t Up… what a workout!
This particular move challenged me but felt awesome, and I was mindful about my breathing, too.
I love feeling empowered to try new things!
I have to work at it just like anyone else.
I had to progress like anyone else.
I had to show up and do what I could do, till I could do what I wanted to do, like anyone else.
And my fitness journey actually started with the guy who trained me today – Shaun T!
And it never fails, every time I do a workout with Shaun, I go back to the first workout of his I ever did – an ASSKICKING workout from his T-25 Beta (you are supposed to start with Alpha and graduate but, silly me put the wrong workout in) that left me sprawled on the floor for a solid 5 minutes after.
Don’t get me wrong, he still kicks my ass, but I have grown. I have progressed. I have improved. I have gotten stronger. I can do his workouts, and I can work for it just like anyone else!
It didn’t get any EASIER, I just got BETTER, because I trusted the process, believed in myself, and stayed accountable (thanks to my awesome group!)
