A little later than usual, but…

A little later than usual (by like, 8 hours haha), but first workout of 2019 is in the books!

For me, today is like the ultimate Monday – can’t skip the first day of the year, because what kinda tone does that set?

Not judging anyone who doesn’t workout today, but for me personally, it was important to set the right tone and get it done!

Love is…

Love is when your husband gets up at an ungodly hour to turn the electric fireplace on so the room you workout in will be a little warmer for when you begin 😍 (we still have no heat and we don’t leave the electric fireplace on while we sleep!)

Look, far be it from me to take away any meaning from the huge, grandiose gestures… but for me personally, it’s those small but SUPER meaningful things that matter MOST and remind me exactly why he’s my person 💕

 

 

 

Fur Mom Life – Workout Distractions!

Fur mom life, am I right?! 😍

I usually finish before she wakes up, but sometimes she comes out before I finish and commandeers my space, tries to step all over my face (floor work + a playful, rambunctious pup…)

Even so, this is still better than having to schlep myself to a gym, wait for machines, and share sweat with those who ‘don’t remember’ to wipe things down…

That’s why I love being able to do my thing in the comfort of my own home. Some people love gyms, and power to them – you do you!

But I haven’t been to a gym in about 8 years now, and I think I’m doing okay… puppy distractions simply mean it takes a little longer, but I am firmly ‘team puppy love’!

As long as it gets done (and it does!)

A major street shut down and then occupied by 20,000 people sharing in the groove, ready to sweat for it?

It’s so powerful. It’s the last day, we are all exhausted, but the energy is insane – you can’t help BUT feel energized and rejuvenated!

We work out with 7 of the super trainers and they get us all fired up!

We were very close to the front and had an awesome view, very cool experience!

Why aren’t you here getting your sweat on with us?! We are doing it again in July 2019 – you in?

Move It Monday – Memorial Day

There may be some people out there all “today’s a holiday, no need to workout”, whereas MY mindset is today may be a holiday BUT it’s a holiday HONORING those who can no longer get their sweat on; a day honoring the very people who fought so that I COULD!

A great way to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice is to get your sweat on in their memory and honor YOURSELF by moving your {{capable}} body.
