Factbomb Friday – Work Hard and Play Hard!

A workout while both pumpkin AND apple pie, on top of a Turkey feast, are still taking a ‘nap’ in my belly is not my idea of a good time…

But days like yesterday are why we absolutely MUST move today – that’s balance!

We can’t just feast and then not move – I mean we could, but that’s not gonna get you to your goals!

Feast hard and then work hard! It IS totally possible to make holiday feasts part of your goals!

Booty day, DONE! ✔️

Move It Monday – Dabble Efforts Get You Dabble Results

Dabble efforts will get you dabble results!

You have to get to a habit of consistency – eating one clean meal won’t make you healthy and crushing one workout won’t make you fit.

But consistently doing these things will get you there!

And so even on a day I have a headache and didn’t really want to, I did, and I’m better for it.

Thursday Thoughts – Success

Success doesn’t just waltz around and randomly select who to bestow itself upon… (if ONLY it were that easy!)

It comes to those who PLAN for it… who WORK towards it… who BELIEVE in themselves and their ability to achieve.

Success is something to WORK for, not WISH for.

The bad news is, you gotta work for it. BUT the GOOD news is – you have everything you need within you!

Transformation Tuesday – Mindset!

{{ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY }}

Last year during the Super Bowl, things were a little rough if you were a New England fan (which I am)… you probably remember, as it’s still being talked about 😉

I was in an establishment full of people who started to lose a little faith, down by 25 points in the 4th. I don’t blame them; it was ugly. But I was one of the ones that stayed calm, and believed.

Now, I don’t say that to puff myself up or put anyone else down, but rather to show a TRANSFORMATION within {MYSELF}.

See, years prior, sports and trailing scores always put me in a negative mindset. I know, you would think as a diehard New England/Boston sports fan, I would know it isn’t over til its O V E R, as we have seen proven TIME and TIME again. But for much of my life it was hard to keep the faith in that sometimes. Most times…

Last year during the Super Bowl is one of the first experiences where I stayed completely positive, and I think we all remember what happened… we went from a quiet, sullen crowd to a LOUD and RAMBUNCTIOUS one, because we DID come from from down 25 points to WIN the Super Bowl, in truly dramatic fashion, again giving credence to ‘it is NOT over until it is OVER’, 00:00 remaining.

And I get it – it isn’t always {easy} to stay positive, but I’ll tell you this – it sure creates a {{better experience}} than writing them off, being down, and acting defeated before the clock hits 00:00. It wasn’t easy, but I told myself comebacks have been done before; this isn’t over yet. Belichick is a master, oh and I mean, you know who my quarterback is, right?! 15:00 minutes for Brady is like 3 hours for anyone else! Let’s just call a spade a spade – that is THE GUY you want when your down!

Obviously, my staying positive doesn’t affect what happens on the field but again, I created a •M U C H• better experience for myself by BELIEVING.

And I did it again this past Sunday – it wasn’t looking good, and people were starting to get nervous, but not me. I knew things could happen. I knew it wasn’t over. I KNEW we had plenty of time and I KNEW we could do it.

{{BELIEVE}}

And we did, which got us to the Super Bowl! Do I hope this Super Bowl is a little less dramatic? … maybe!

But I also look back and appreciate how far I have come, how much work I have done on my mindset and eradicating my negative thinking… it was a HUGE feat, and I have worked really hard on it, and it’s nice to have such a fond memory of a time when it would have been E A S Y to slip back into my negative, defeatist ways, but nope, I stayed positive!

Sometimes, the biggest transformations take place •WITHIN•.

Success Tip Saturday – Find Your Passion

Passion is sometimes mistaken for simply liking what you do — and while that’s a key component — passion goes deeper than that.

For me, things I am passionate about fuel me, I feel energized, I find the time flew by, I am happy to be doing it (even if I am not getting paid)… passion goes deep. It opens my eyes up to how lucky I am to be doing XYZ. I get excited about the next time I can do it, whatever it is.

When you find your passion, the necessary, grueling hard work suddenly doesn’t seem so daunting!

Thankful Thursday – It Takes A Village

In less than a week, I get to see some of my tribe at Coach Summit in NOLA. I see the local ones at trainings and such, but we are scattered throughout the country, so I am excited to see the ones not so local.

These people have propped me up when I am down. They have helped me with notes, with calls, with confidence, with mindset, with everything under the sun.

I am THANKFUL for them, and GRATEFUL for them. I am blessed to be part of this team; blessed to link arms with these men and women, and march on in our quest to better ourselves, our lives, the lives of others and the world. I didn’t know when I decided to become a Coach that my cup was going to feel so very full, but I am so grateful for it.

No one stands alone, for it truly takes a village!

Fierce Friday – Three Letters

Kara Claudia Rebecca WHY

One word, 3 letters – W H Y?
For the freedoms – time, money, choice… all of them.
For the feel-good feelings of knowing I helped people.
For the friendships, team-building, bonds, and connections.
For the empowerment.
For the ability to live my life by design.
For me. For my family.
For my own health.
Some people dream it, some people do it. I have always been a dreamer, but fortunately, I am also a doer!
No, it’s not always easy (because nothing worth having is, as we all know), and yes, sometimes I do let doubt creep in — and then I promptly kick that out,  because there is no room for doubt – none!
And no, it’s not for everyone — you have to be willing to work hard and step by step instead of expecting it to materialize overnight… but YES, it’s WORTH IT.
If you’d like to take control and design your life, let’s chat – you CAN do this, and I CAN help you!

Truthbomb Tuesday – Hashtagging Diabetes is RUDE.

Time for a TRUTHBOMB!

I have to say it. I see this happen on too regular a basis, and while I am sure the intention is just to be funny, there is nothing funny about doing this, or Diabetes. Sorry, but I am NOT sorry. Those who find this funny probably wouldn’t if they had to fight this battle every day.

I get it, when we aren’t affected by something, it seems like funny fodder –  but this kind of stuff stings. This kind of stuff gives credibility to the very NOT CREDIBLE notion that Diabetes is the result of too many sweets.

You wouldn’t appreciate someone being snarky about a medical condition you had, would you?

Work For It Wednesday – Florida Vacation Edition

Vacations used to stress me out, majorly. The planning, the logistics, and oh, the money. Both getting the most bang for our buck, and the paying for it.

Vacations, even cheap ones, are stressful on most people’s finances. Or, if they aren’t, they are vacations that are paid in full because they were saved up for. Which takes a LOT of discipline, you know.

Here soaking in the Florida sunshine with family, my heart. Making memories. Moments. Laughing and living and loving life.

These are the moments we work hard for. These are the moments we grind for.

I am grateful today that by me sharing my story, and helping others feel good about themselves, I have made vacations less stressful financially. Still stressful, but less so. And some day, they won’t be, because they WILL be paid in full with the income I work my butt off to earn by being real, raw, honest and transparent in my journey.

That I have the courage to do that, and reap such fabulous rewards as the result, is awesome. And YOU also have the courage to do it, you just might not know it yet. Are you willing to work for it? Let’s chat!

Because it must be said:
