Transformation Tuesday – 21 Day Ultimate Reset

}} 4.25 {{

Nope, it’s not a date. It doesn’t need a dollar sign. And it’s not a score.

It represents what I LOST in toxic/gunk-filled inches, during my 21 day experience known as the Ultimate Reset!

And 4.25 might not seem like a lot but, I will tell you something, ridding your body of that much toxicity really does something to ya! It’s hard to put into words but I just feel so fresh, so cleaned out and light.

It literally feels like someone hit the Reset button and eliminated years and years of bad habits, chemicals (I wasn’t always as food-wise as I might be now!), and tons of other stuff that was bogging me down!

If this doesn’t lend credence to the notion it’s all about what you do/don’t eat, I don’t know what will. Other than yoga 3 times a week, I didn’t work out the whole 3 weeks, so these results are ALL nutrition-based!

Now, I just wish there was a way to measure what it did for me MENTALLY, because wow, did that ever help!

I feel lean and clean – if you wanna feel that way too, let’s chat!

Thursday Thoughts – I MATTER.

Sometimes, I tend to care TOO much.

It’s not uncommon for me to put the feelings of others ahead of my own.

I would often so much rather avoid any confrontations or difficult conversations that I sit and stew, til the lid tends to boil over, and then I APOLOGIZE. Apologize for FEELING.

I am quick to excuse people, to act like I don’t deserve basic human decency, or common courtesy.

But here is my secret weapon – all the personal development I have done over the years? FINALLY clicked.

I matter. My needs matter. My feelings matter.

And since how you treat yourself is how others treat you – there’s gonna be some changes up in here. I am an empathetic person, I am always willing to listen and help someone, but I will no longer be sacrificing my own feelings and my own well-being for that.

You can’t pour from an empty cup. Trust me, I have tried, and tried, and tried. You can’t.

Wednesday Wisdom – Promise to Yourself

I saw this when I was looking for something to post in my Challenge Group, and it really hit me at my core. I sometimes tend to do, go, and give a little too much sometimes, which sometimes leaves me too burnt out to really do as much for myself.

So I made a promise, to myself, to hold my OWN well-being sacred. After all, you can’t pour from an empty cup, right?

It’s okay to be a giver, just remember to take care of your own well-being first!

Tip Tuesday – Staying Healthy When You Sit At A Desk All Day

So, I am one who works at a desk all day. I frequently get up, go to the bathroom, refill my water, walk just for the sake of stretching, etc. Standing all day would be bad news for my slightly weak back (it used to be very weak but regular exercise has strengthened my core considerably, which has helped my chronic back pain), so rather than going for a standing desk, I just make sure I get up very frequently, stretch, move around and whatnot.

One of my favorite websites, MindBodyGreen, has this helpful article for those of us who work at a desk all day and might need some tips on staying healthy in spite of our desk jobs.

Great tips found here – do you have any other tips to add? Do you work a desk job?
