I’m not good with being sick. There’s always things to be done and I’m the worst with just taking time to rest so I can get better.
It took everything in me not to get up and get my sweat on, but I know that’s not what my body needs right now, and while it’s definitely a struggle to be out of my normal routine, I’m grateful I can RECOGNIZE when my body needs the rest and HONOR that.
I didn’t always listen to my body.
So today I am. My wonderful husband made me tea with lemon and honey, and I’m taking it easier today so I can get back to my normal productive life as soon as possible!
I don’t get sick often but when I do I get knocked down hard!
Actual message I received:
“I just LVE all you’re posts! Have you ever considered starting your fitness journey?”
So a couple of things here, the first being I get what this person is trying to do, but the problems are 1) it’s clearly a generic copy/paste message, and 2) if you are gonna SAY you love all my posts, please realize that I’m gonna know that’s nonsense the second you pose your question, because while I try not to be ‘in your face’ about my fitness journey, it’s at least evident I’ve STARTED my fitness journey.
Sorry, but messages like that ring extremely hollow and inauthentic to me, and I think we as a society, as entrepreneurs, as network marketers… as HUMANS, are better than feigning interest in someone without being bothered to at least take a quick glance at their page.
Come to me real or don’t come at all ✌🏼#truthbomb
Just my .02, you may keep the change – and if I’m being honest, 3) your*
Letting go can be one of the hardest things to do, but the most rewarding.
When you let go of something that doesn’t align with who you are and what you stand for, you clear the space for something that DOES align with you and who you are.
And there is NOTHING more beautiful than that.
It’s okay… let go. Something better, something brighter awaits.
Tell Me Tuesday!
What is YOUR definition or understanding of strength?
And I don’t mean just physically – there are mental feats, emotional feats, spiritual feats… there are so many different kinds of strength!
What’s something you consider to be a sign of strength?
I see this a lot on my social media, and in my groups. People who are unhappy with their looks, their body… they look in the mirror and start picking out the flaws… that is no way to live.
I don’t think I am anything to write home about, but this is my body, this is my face, and so this is what I am working with!
Make peace with the mirror, and watch the reflection change.
Oh YUM! I love everything about this! I am obsessed with capers (still not sure why!), and we get a lot of Salmon from my relatives over in Alaska. It makes a delicious meal at anytime, but its especially powerful in the morning – fuel to start your day off right!
Happy Tuesday! 🙂
