I have been going green in as many ways as I can, gradually. No, I am not that person that overhauls everything at once because hello, overwhelming!
But I have been working on safer, sustainable swaps, and my newest is using these wool balls in the dryer in place of dryer sheets (not good for the planet 🌎 and also not 🐾 dog-friendly!), and I was skeptical, but willing to give it a chance because that’s what I do, I give things chances 😊
Well, consider this skeptic a BELIEVER! I was told wool dryer balls could help reduce the drying time, and also that if you put some essential oil drops on the balls, your clothing would smell delicious.
It did, and they did! I usually set my dryer to “more dry”, because I can’t stand damp clothing and I almost always have full loads of laundry. This time I set it to “normal dry”, which I don’t know exactly what the time differential is between the two drying cycles, but I know often if I have jeans in there, they will still be slightly damp after a “more dry” cycle, and with the dryer balls, they were perfectly dry just using “normal dry”, so there is obviously some credibility there.
Oh and I used some Frankincense essential oil, and my clothing smells divine, still!

Anyone else ever tried these? My mom got them for me and I was skeptical, and heard mixed reviews. Some people said the eggs were perfect and came out easily, other people said these gadgets held their eggs hostage.
But I decided to try them, and I sprayed them beforehand. And they actually did work perfectly! Much easier than fighting to peel a shell (sometimes my method for easy peeling works and other times it doesn’t, and inconsistency is one of my pet peeve’s, so it’s nice to have a working option to save my sanity and my eggs!)
(Yes, they end up flat on one side but that actually makes storage easier!)
Next week is Thanksgiving, and even with healthier options, it’s easy to intake way too many calories and grams of carbohydrates. If you aren’t someone who has to pay attention to that, cool, enjoy your meal!
Unfortunately, not everyone has that ability, and so it’s nice to have a healthier option, too. Oh, but how could one take away the mashed potatoes?! BLASPHEMY – you can’t!
But honestly, either of today’s options are better for you, with the same (if not more!) flavor and texture – so why not give it a try?

Can’t speak for anyone else, but it absolutely has been life changing for me!
I have noticed a pattern – the days I start with Shakeology in the early morning, my cravings are either nonexistent, or insignificant. It’s those few days (they happen!) where I don’t get my Shakeology in the morning, that the day starts to wear on me, and I begin to crave junk; chocolate, cakes, ice cream and donuts; mmm donuts…
Now I am NOT saying this stuff is a magical potion that will cause you to banish thoughts of eating junk food to the ends of the Earth, never to test your willpower again, because it won’t… but due to the versatility of this stuff, you can mimic quite a lot of flavors, which allows you to satisfy a craving in a cleaner way.
And so then when you DO indulge (hello, balance!), you can feel less guilt because its less frequent.
So yes, if one scoop a day can keep me from devouring the whole junk food aisle… scoop away!

Have you ever complimented a perfect stranger?
I never used to, but more and more, I find myself just blurting out “I love your shirt” or something else. Usually impulsively which for me, adds to the feeling associated with it. Because have you ever noticed how someone smiles and lights up when complimented?!
I think the world could use more complimentary offerings and less critical ones – what say you?
