Saturday Sweat – Back at it!

Mannnn it felt good to get back to it today!

I did a workout designed specifically for the second trimester; it was all strength training, no cardio (my preference, if we’re being 100% honest!) and it felt so good after a few days off and a good stretch yesterday!

And lending more credence to my theory that my daily movement seriously helps stabilize my blood sugars, things have been MUCH better the last two days (days I moved) versus the three days that I didn’t!

Saturday Sweat – Running In Nice Weather

Great weather (at least at the hour I was out there!) for some running… continuing the quest towards 175 miles!

It was 60° out when I ran, which is pretty cool after the summer of humidity we have had – I am personally looking forward to Fall for running purposes. The summer temps coupled with humidity are not very kind to a runner!

Racked up 4.2 miles today, clocking the first at 8:56 and the last at 6:27 – this splits stuff is pretty awesome and definitely shows me I usually finish stronger than I start!

It was also nice to be able to breathe while running

I was inspired after a chat with a fellow runner, one who is a large part of why I even took this summer challenge on, so since today is a rest day in my program, I set out to do my thang, log a couple of miles and just keep on keeping on… every bit helps, right? (Right!)

I haven’t run this far since I was a teenager, and for some reason as yet unknown, I did it the day after an all-HIIT leg day?! What the hell was my thought process there?! 😩

I survived… I’m sore, but I feel a little bit like a badass, and this means I’m just a little over a mile from my next feat – a 10k!

Saturday Sweat – LIIFT 4 Leg Day!

What in the actual eff just happened?! 😩

Ohhh, that’s right, LEG DAY.

I swapped rest day yesterday because my right shoulder was ping-a-linging, so all my fellow test groupers had posted and warned me leg day ain’t nothing to eff with, but shoooot! That’s a sweat fest! 💦

(I stand by my “if you still look good when you’re done, you didn’t work hard enough” mantra 😉)
