Summit Superworkout!

One of my fave parts of Summit – the SuperWorkout!

A major street shut down and then occupied by 20,000 people sharing in the groove, ready to sweat for it?

•MAGICAL•

It’s so powerful. It’s the last day, we are all exhausted, but the energy is insane – you can’t help BUT feel energized and rejuvenated!

We work out with 7 of the super trainers and they get us all fired up!

We were very close to the front and had an awesome view, very cool experience!

Why aren’t you here getting your sweat on with us?! We are doing it again in July 2019 – you in?

Who am I, and how can I LOVE a pair of SHOES?!

So, the shoes I brought here to Michigan/Indy haven’t been broken in, and the heel pushes into my ankle bone – not pleasant at all. So Sara and I made some pit stops on our way to Indy to get me some new shoes – apparently the Nike Pegasus’ are like clouds… so she said.

So I tried a pair… THEY ARE SO COMFY! I am a huge fan, no one is more surprised than I am!

Who would have thought that I, a VERY outspoken fan of NOT wearing sneakers, would be excited to get new kicks?! I know, I’m shocked too!

Oh and for those of you keeping score at home yep, they are kids size, and yep, they fits!

Thankful Thursday – My Awesome Husband

Nothing I do could be done without this guy. I know, I sound so co-dependent, but it’s not that… he is the fire that keeps me going when I doubt myself (happens), when I feel like giving up (happens), when I feel like I don’t matter or make a difference (happens), when I feel like I could possibly not give more of myself or do anything more (happens)… no matter what, this guy keeps me going.

He encourages me, and has from day one. I am sure when I told him I wanted to do this, he probably had his doubts like most other spouses, but I think he saw the light when he saw how passionate and excited I am to help people. When he saw things that meant so much to me that I couldn’t help but cry, I think he realized just how much this means to me.

He has never wavered in his support of or belief in me, and that is priceless. I am sure it is a struggle to see someone go through so much, and I am sure it can’t be easy to encourage someone to keep going when they feel drained and depleted; completely defeated.

But not this guy. He redirects me towards my goals. He points out how much people have said I help them. He pushes me to keep going, to be the best me I can be, to reach more people, help more people.

He knows I am doing this to give us a better life. To give our dog a better life. To give the kids we haven’t yet been blessed with a better life.

And the last two years, he has attended Summit with me. So he firsthand witnesses the sheer exhaustion. He witnesses how jazzed up I come back from workshops and workouts. He sees me light up when I attempt to share how it feels to workout at the crack of dawn with 25,000 like-minded people.

I have always struggled with self doubt and feeling like I matter; like I am visible, not invisible. And he reinforces on the daily that I matter, that I am making a difference, that I can do this, and that I am worthy of it all.

And bonus: he doesn’t point out that I LOOK as tired as I am, haha. Beyond grateful for this guy ❤

Thankful Thursday – It Takes A Village

In less than a week, I get to see some of my tribe at Coach Summit in NOLA. I see the local ones at trainings and such, but we are scattered throughout the country, so I am excited to see the ones not so local.

These people have propped me up when I am down. They have helped me with notes, with calls, with confidence, with mindset, with everything under the sun.

I am THANKFUL for them, and GRATEFUL for them. I am blessed to be part of this team; blessed to link arms with these men and women, and march on in our quest to better ourselves, our lives, the lives of others and the world. I didn’t know when I decided to become a Coach that my cup was going to feel so very full, but I am so grateful for it.

No one stands alone, for it truly takes a village!

Superworkout Saturday – Flashback Edition

This is me during last years Saturday Superworkout – Beachbody had Broadway St shut down, and 25,000 of us Beachbody Coaches worked out at Sunrise with 5 of the Beachbody Celebrity Trainers – Sagi Kalev, Autumn Calabrese, Tony Horton, Shaun T and Chalene Johnson.

Superworkout

Have you ever seen anything like this?! SO amazing.

Now, I am a morning person, so the earliness wasn’t an issue for me, but even if I wasn’t a morning person – IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO. WORTH. IT.

You cannot even put into WORDS how amazing it was; how absolutely packed with energy. SO amazing.

To share in the fitness groove with 25,000 other people as the sun rises on yet another day on this wonderful planet, just priceless.

Still to this day, one of the most amazing feelings ever.

And today… we do it again! The lineup might be a little different, but oh… the energy… you can count on it being just as amazing if not more amazing. Pics to follow!

What are YOU doing to sweat today?

Thursday Thoughts – Summit Energy

Yes, this week’s posts are mostly Summit related – I am soaking in all of this INCREDIBLE energy, and I honestly cannot wait to get home and apply everything.

I left last year’s Summit with an INSANE amount of energy and belief in myself, and my biz partner and I spent the whole flight home masterminding how to grow our businesses and achieve our goals. Of course, last year after Summit I had to dive right into finalizing wedding planning and all that came with that…

But this year… ohhhh… I am married, I have nothing else stopping me from taking all of this momentum and DARING to SUCCEED.

So exciting – the beauty of Summit is (besides reuniting with your teammates scattered all across the USA) is you get SO much knowledge and inspiration and energy and insight jampacked into such a short time. It’s exhausting but SO empowering.

Wanna come with us next year? We’re hitting another awesome city – to be announced! – and you can join us!

Team Rise to Shine would love to help you shine your light on the world, and help others do the same!

Wednesday Workout – LIVE with Chalene Johnson!

Tomorrow I get to workout with one of my favorite trainers – Chalene Johnson, LIVE at Summit! I have been excited about this workout since I booked it in April – she brings the intensity, the heat, the energy, and the FUN!

She’s got such a lovable, positive spirit – you can’t help but love her, and anyone who can make me fall in love while simultaneously leading me in a HIIT workout is definitely a gem in my eyes!

She’s real and raw, honest and upbeat, and most of all – she’s PASSIONATE. Like passion radiates from her, and draws you in – you can’t help but be inspired and empowered by her!

So stoked to get to do a nice stretchy PiYo workout with her – after two back to back rounds of Hammer and Chisel, my body could really use that!

So stoked – between tomorrows scheduled workout and the Saturday Superworkout with several of the Beachbody trainers, I get two doses of her! WOO!! 🙂

Thankful Thursday – Beachbody Coach Summit

Y’all have probably seen that I am a Beachbody Coach – I try not to be obnoxious about it on here because I know people have very thin patience for that stuff, sometimes, but I do try to run my business and I adore helping others; I always have since I was a little girl, it just makes me feel good and like I do a small part to improve this massive world.

coaching changes lives - yours, and others.

Next week is Coach Summit in Nashville, and this will be my second year attending, and I am excited. I am grateful, I am thankful.

You see, it may sound silly, but I cried endless tears over my Diabetes diagnosis. Out of fear, out of frustration… I sobbed. I was terrified, and really worried about how I was going to get this under control.

I don’t think she knew it at the time, but when Rebecca approached me about joining her Challenge Group, I was ambivalent and doubtful, but I decided to do it just because I didn’t have anything to lose, and it was going to help her out, and I was all for that aspect.

If you asked me then if I knew that would turn into what it has, I would have laughed, hard. I never had any intention of helping anyone – in fact, I distinctly remember saying “who wants to take health advice from a Diabetic?!”

I mean, that seems counterintuitive, am I right? But such is the beauty of trusting in the Universe… she had plans for me. She was going to help me help myself by helping others. She was going to show me how strong I am, how inspiring and relate-able I could be, and how I could be the light for others desperate to see some light on their path.

I still struggle to believe I have any value to add, and its during these times that my teammates, and my challengers, somehow, someway, manage to chime in and remind me that I do bring value, and I am grateful for that.

The Beachbody opportunity really has done wonders for my self esteem, confidence, my ability to power through and it’s also kept me accountable and on track with my own health – something I TRULY needed and was desperate to achieve.

It’s never easy. but some battles are worth fighting – and yes, this is totally one of them.

So next week, when I am immersed in a wonderful city full of people who feel exactly the same way I do, people who radiate light and love and encouragement, I will think back to how it all started – with a question – and I will be so thankful that this turned into the answer that I needed.

We are all in this together!
