Mmm watermelon… I simply do not care if summer is on it’s way out – I will eat or drink watermelon year-round!
Two of my favorite flavors, combined! 🙂
Nice and simple, because for me, Shakeology tastes good, so I don’t always feel a need to dress it up. It is nice to have the option to do so, so I can mimic specific flavors if I am craving them, but it’s also nice to have good tasting product on its own!
Do you like regular Strawberry or Vegan Tropical Strawberry better?
I LOVE chia. I love to add it to my shakes, on top of my greek yogurt, basically anywhere I can. It adds protein and lots of other goodies, without upping the carbs (a thorn in this diabetic’s side!)
This recipe is nice and springy, which is perfect because Spring IS just around the corner, yay!
Simple yet tasty — a delightful treat!
No better reason to celebrate than the birth of your country’s independence, huh? 🙂
Happy early 4th of July – one of my favorite holidays!
Here is a very tasty way to get your red, white and blue in – you can also sub Vanilla Shakeology and put fresh strawberries in, if you would like!
What are your plans for the holiday?
Happy Valentines Day! This is another “holiday” where you are inundated with chocolates and sweet treats and decadent desserts! Not the most Diabetic-friendly holiday, but such is life, right?
At least I can still get my sweet treat without sending myself into hyperglycemia!
I do LOVE my strawberries! Similar to blueberries, I also freeze some of my summer pickings – I could subsist on strawberries if necessary – LOVE them!
This is a very tart and sweet recipe, which is perfect for when you are craving as such… I don’t like overly sweet stuff but every once in a great while, that’s the taste I am going for!
I think the pomegranate is a little under-appreciated. I don’t think many are aware of how awesomely powerful these colorful little dudes are. Pomegranates contain high levels of flavonoids and polyphenols, potent antioxidants offering protection against heart disease and cancer. A glass of pomegranate juice has more antioxidants than red wine, green tea, blueberries, and cranberries! What’s not to love about them?!
There are few things more refreshing than crisp, cool watermelon. I can still remember being a child and having watermelon seed spitting contests. Watermelon is something you can’t fuss when you eat – as a kid I would have watermelon juice stains all over my face (and my clothing – sorry Mom!), and I couldn’t care less. So delicious and refreshing.
What’s your favorite summertime fruit?
