Move It Monday – Burpees

How do you feel about Burpees? I used to hate them, and some days I still do, but most of the time I don’t mind them – I mean, they are so effective, and such a total body workout! They are hard work but you can pretty much almost instantly feel them working!

In fact, according to leading exercise scientists, the burpee is the MOST effective exercise, as it targets all 5 dimensions of fitness: endurance, speed, agility, strength, and flexibility. Good enough reasons to suck it up and do your burpees, right?

My fitness pals and I always work on building up to them – ANYONE’S gonna get winded trying to do 100 at once… but if you can manage to do 10, and build up in increments, someday that 100 burpees won’t seem quite as daunting!
