Saturday Sweat with my best accountabilibuddy!

It’s been a whiiiiile since this chick and I worked out together, mostly because she’s still rocking the 4am workouts and well, frankly, the only thing this prego is rocking these days at 4am is sleep (or a potty break!), but today the stars aligned and we were able to rock it out together (at 6am, NOT 4am haha)

Might be our last workout together for a while, since baby could come any day and then I’ll be on workout hiatus for a while, but we enjoyed today!

Since today was a full length leg day, having her smiley face motivating me to keep going most definitely helped!

Saturday Sweat – It’s OKAY to PAUSE!

It doesn’t matter how many times you hit PAUSE and catch your BREATH. What matters is you don’t STOP and catch your EXCUSES.

My capabilities are certainly more limited during pregnancy due to the nature of, you know, how hard a body works to grow a healthy human… but I’m still capable, and so I still show up.

I break more, I do fewer reps, my weights are lighter, I take two rest days instead of 1 now and I go at my own pace, but all of that is STILL better than using any excuse in the book to skip.

My baby/body/pregnancy are WHY I’m moving, not a free pass to skip every day. I’m no better than anyone, I just KNOW I’m worth the effort, limited or otherwise.

And pssst… you are too.

Saturday Splurge – Highlights

A fresh update!

Yes, my doctor told me it’s fine.
No, she didn’t go all the way to my scalp.
Yes, I feel comfortable doing so after discussing it in length with both my doctor and other ladies who have done high/lowlights while pregnant.

Yes, we were safe about it.

(And YES, I do wish she could come curl my hair every day!)

Saturday Sweat – Leg Day!

Definitely not drunk, because baby! 😍

It’s been a while since I could wear this shirt because it definitely shows my little bump (which has been fairly evident since early on due to my small size) and as much as we wanted to share our secret earlier, we just couldn’t!

But I feel so free having it out there and not having to hide anymore – hardest secret to keep EVER, am I right?! I mean you wanna shout it from the rooftops but you have to be cautious early on!

Saturday Strong – Nevertheless She Persisted

Everyone has hardships.
Everyone has obstacles.
Everyone has bad days.

That’s part of life… those not-so-good things {{hopefully}} make you appreciate the good things even more.

Those things only define you if you •let• them.

I’m no different. I’ve faced hard stuff. I’ve scaled obstacles. And I sure as shit have had bad days.

I do not let them define me.

No way am I letting a little not-so-good override lots of good.

Saturday Sweat – Earlier Than Usual!

You thought our normal workout time was early?!

What’s a girl to do when her accountabilibuddy is going off the grid for two weeks to enjoy her vacation with family and disconnect a bit?

Well if you are me, you soak up one last Saturday zoom workout together at the ripe hour of 0330!

So while I’m super sad we will go from talking all day and night on multiple platforms to barely talking at all due to no service, I’m so happy she’ll get some super quality time with her fam – and I’ll miss her!

Saturday Sweat!

By 0730 I’d already gotten a run in and done a 47 minute booty workout. My little legs are TOAST! But I’m glad I got some mileage in – it’s a nice running day, not scorching hot!

Now to run some errands, prep some thangs and then for the rest of the day you can find me celebrating this amazing country with amazing people.

(And if I don’t get up to greet you it’s because like I said, my little legs are DONE, haha)
