Today was a bit of a rough one… walking to appt in humidity, low blood sugars before lunch that had me super out of sorts, some general anxiety (mama’s, surely this is normal?!) and just feeling pretty drained… humidity is not my favorite and it definitely hits me a little harder when I’m this pregnant!
The good news is, tomorrow is a new day and so tonight is just being spent relaxing and snuggling with this little lovebug (because she’s the MASTER at relaxing and reminding me it’s IMPORTANT, even if there IS a trillion things to do!) and so between her friendly reminder and my husband handling dinner, I’m feeling a bit better and regrouping.
That humidity though… whewwwww. No joke!
First I do all the food prep things, and then I will do the relax and recharge, deal?
But you do gotta take that time to relax and recharge – it’s critical!
What is one of your favorite ways to relax and recharge?
Your mental health is just as important as anything else – I would argue it’s even a little more important!
Some simple things you can do to maintain good health are as follows (obviously, laughter is one of MY personal favorites!)
Do you have any other suggestions?
Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
Any fun plans today?
In all of my groups and team pages, the common struggle is the weekend. For many of us, the work week is so structured that it’s easy to stay on track (or at least easier!), but weekends are less structured, and if you are like me, that’s when it all unravels. I do way better when I have structure than when I am free-fallin’ so to speak…
These are, of course, all pretty basic tips, but I find that they help. All small changes add up!
Whew! I am exhausted! I don’t know how all you parents do it (I do look forward to that kinda crazy someday, but right now I have enough…)
Packing and purging and project creating, shopping and wrapping and working, plus everything else… this girl is TAPPED OUT.
I love that so many people come to me in search of unique Christmas gifts for their loved ones (I also have a crafting business on the side, in addition to blogging and being a Beachbody coach – life is too short to ever be bored!), and I probably took on too much this season – but it was so worth it to see the smiles!
Now that Christmas is over, I want to take some time today to do…. *drum roll* NOTHING. I need it. My body needs it. My mind needs it. I need to have nothing to do, no deadlines to meet, for a day, until we start the craziness of packing up an entire house to move.
Spoiler alert: I don’t really intend to do nothing all day… that goes against every fiber of my being. However, I DO fully intend to take an hour to do nothing – I promise!
How will you show yourself love today?
Well that sums it up pretty nicely, wouldn’t you say? 🙂
