One of the moves from today’s cardio workout – whewwwwwww! The sliders really add a few elements of WORK!
EFF YEAH FRIDAY!
This… is a B E A U T I F U L sight.
I owed the most in personal credit card debt, to this company. I owed them 4 figures, 6 if you add a decimal. And at some times, it felt like I owed them my life, and I would owe them forever…
I owed, and owed, and owed. So I paid, and paid, and paid. And then paid it off last year, for the FIRST time…
Then I shopped… some unforeseen situations arose… and we took a vacation, and I found myself having a balance again. It FELT like I blinked and it was back to 4 figures…
And I said nope, not anymore. And I set a goal to pay my 4 figure debt down AGAIN, and finally be free from the financial chains that bound me to this company.
And in the 10+ years I have had a card with them, this is the first time I have had a zero balance long enough for my statement to reflect that. And oh… those ZEROES. I chased those babies. I worked my tush off for them. I even made sacrifices, instead staying STEADFAST in my quest to pay OFF my credit card debt, ALL of it. My supplemental/residual income made it so I could do JUST that.
And I did. And there is really nothing like that feeling. They get bupkis from me this month.
That… is a feeling that cannot be classified as anything less than fucking amazing.
This is your Monday reminder that you’ve got this, so keep going!
Remember, if you believe in YOURSELF, you have everyone you need on your side!
10 Things to remember on your journey –
- Know what you want, and why you want it.
- Make a plan for how your going to make it happen
- Surround yourself with like minded people who make you feel positive, and distance yourself from the people who make you doubt yourself
- Be disciplined with your time – don’t put off what you need to do. Get it done.
- Get yourself in a winning frame of mind.
- Have the courage to take risks and make your dreams come true.
- Don’t limit yourself – remove the barriers and believe that it’s possible.
- Do not be afraid to stand out and be heard.
- Stay focused on what you want to achieve.
- Be positive!
Can you think of any others?
I think some people are under the impression that us wellness coaches/mentors never struggle, never have days where it doesn’t come easy; like we never have days where we just don’t want to work out. It’s not true; we ALL have those days. We just know the powerfully exhilarating feeling that comes after getting up and getting it done anyways. We know how it makes us feel physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. And it’s always worth it.
But absolutely, most of us have days where it is a battle within to get those workout clothes on and press PLAY! This is why we are constantly and consistently participating in the Fitness/Challenge groups… we also benefit from the motivation, shared struggles, tips, and all of that. We are just as human as you, we share the struggles!
It’s during these times — the ones you most DON’T want to — that you need to! These are character building moments, showing you either how badly you want something, or how little it doesn’t matter to you. If your health and wellness matters to you, you trudge forward, doesn’t have to be perfect, you don’t have to crush it… JUST MOVE!
The day you believe there is nothing you can’t do, is the day there truly is nothing you can’t do.
Love this. Belief is like the one ingredient you can’t substitute. Belief is like baking – due to its nature, its precise… if you don’t have the proper amount of certain things, your cake wont set, or your cookies will be flat, so on and so forth. It’s not like cooking, where you have much more freedom to improvise.
When you believe in yourself, you set the mental note for any of those doubts; you put them on notice that while they may try to derail you, you will fail forward and keep on trucking. When you truly believe that you can overcome whatever obstacles are placed in your way, YOU CAN. But without that belief, those obstacles don’t seem scalable. They don’t seem like something you can overcome.
You’ve gotta BELIEVE to ACHIEVE.
Are you a risk taker?
I get it – taking risks can be scary. But I feel like, no matter which way the coin drops – you get something positive out of it. You either succeed, or you fail, and you learn that a particular way doesn’t work, and you develop the resolve to try again.
It’s a win/win, for me. How about you?
Happy Friday guys! Who’s crushing a workout today!?
Couple of things here… I see this in my groups and such sometimes. The journey to weight loss, or just being healthier, does not at all happen overnight. You don’t blink and suddenly have the body you have always wanted.
It takes time. And sure, it probably feels like it takes a lot longer than it does, but just stay with it. Be patient. Keep going, don’t get discouraged. Trust the process, do the workouts, stick to your clean eating, and just have some faith.
Your hard work WILL pay off — but if you give up, it won’t!
