Make your wellness a priority.
Seemed an appropriate shirt to wear for my workout today!
What, you didn’t know that badasses workout on holidays, too? Because that’s the rule of being a badass 😉
Our final week of this program, Week 8, is off to a great start with an awesome Chest/Back workout!
How is your Monday going?
I’m just gonna leave this riiiight here, I think some people in the world could use a reminder, yeah? 😉
As we have entered the 4th quarter of the year, the one that is ripe with holidays and additional expenses, I invite you to ask yourself if YOU could use additional income to offset the additional expenses?
That’s one of the many perks of doing something that I LOVE – I get PAID to do it, which in addition to paying off debt, gives me EXTRA money for the holidays, so I can do more good and make more people’s holiday’s C O U N T.
It’s a blessing that I can be EARNING this INCOME without having to work INSANE hours at retail (I do NOT miss that at all – I did it for TOO MANY years!)
Giving back really is the best thing to receive!
Any fellow meditaters here? I had never really done it (I struggle with sitting still, nevermind not even THINKING anything) but it was an exercise we did at a recent Team Retreat, and I actually loved it. I did notice some thoughts creeping in, but redirected them back towards focusing on my breathing, and it was a nice release, it felt good and I definitely intend to make it part of my every day life!
I have been trying to do it several times a week to get in the habit… it is ripe with benefits, these are just a few!
If you meditate, what is another benefit you notice?
Why? Why do I do any and everything that I do?
Because I like feeling good in my skin, confident in my abilities, and worthy of my efforts.
Tell Me Tuesday!
Where would you like to live? Why haven’t you moved?
Do you meditate? I have been trying to do it more… I am not the best at sitting still and staying in the moment, but I am working on becoming better at this, because this little meditation time is loaded with benefits!
Let’s face it, our minds get quite a workout, and sometimes a little “time out” by way of Meditation can go a long way towards restoring our energy and positive mindset!
So while my ants-in-my-pants butt needs to be better about sitting still and just letting my mind flow freely, there are tons of reasons to do so, which is why I am making it an active practice. I might only be able to do it for 10 seconds right now, but 10 seconds becomes 20 seconds, and 20 seconds will eventually become 20 minutes… so on and so forth. It’s a process, but a worthwhile one!
Any John Lennon fans here? Huge fan here, and this is one of my favorites. There is so much discord in the world, and it can sap a person’s motivation and will to fight. As a Diabetic, I am not impervious to these feelings at all, in fact, I probably have to work harder to keep those brief, fleeting “why am I fighting” moments at bay. Because those moments have a profound impact on my health!
I don’t fool myself into thinking that I can change the world – I can change my part in it, and I can encourage and inspire everyone to do the same, but I can’t change the current state of the world. I can only change my reaction to it. As I have gotten older and become more aware of what a crazy world this is, my reaction is sometimes to just pretend it’s not happening. But it is.
But I still dream. I still put my dreams into action. I still try to be the best person I can be, to be the light, to lead by example. I maintain hope that we can someday all live as one – one world united by our differences, our experiences, our beliefs and our values. It’s okay that we don’t all see things the same way. But diversity is beautiful. Embrace it. Encourage it. Celebrate it.
Let’s turn this world around 🙂
