Try It Thursday – Tapping

Do you Tap? I didn’t even know it was a thing until my mentor mentioned it to me, and encouraged me to read a book centered on it.

Tapping may sound shallow on the surface, but, and I say this as someone who honestly FELT immense relief/clarity post-tapping, it can really work wonders for getting past blocks – blocks you most likely don’t even know you HAVE!

Tapping provides relief from chronic pain, emotional problems, disorders, addictions, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder, and physical diseases. Much like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips – literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power. Our bodies are seriously so much more powerful than we give them credit for! They are also self healing, a fact many of us forget in this day and age of hourly pill distribution.

All negative emotions are felt through a disruption of the body’s energy. And physical pain and disease are intricately connected to negative emotions. And your body, ripe with energy, mends the negative emotions when you restore balance.

Curious about these meridians? Simply put, energy circulates through your body along a specific network of channels. You can tap into this energy at any point along the system. You tap whilst accepting and resolving the negative emotion, and this creates the balance needed to restore your body’s balanced state.

My mentor had us read a book on tapping – Tapping Into Wealth, by Margaret Lynch – and I will be honest, despite the respect I have for Marianne, I was a little dubious…

True to form… Marianne’s recommendation was awesome, and I honestly did feel a difference. Tapping really did help me sync up to what the REAL issues were, and agree to accept them, and THEN, (and only then haha) am I able to really heal from it. That’s kinda powerful.

I found it useful and helpful, and I do find myself going back and doing Tapping when I start to feel the stress or burden of not yet being free of debt, or anything else that chips away at my soul. Which sometimes life does that, it happens to all of us, but it’s really important to work through it instead of sweeping it under the rug like I have done most of my life.

I could go on and on and on, but for the sake of brevity, check out Tapping and give it a try. I recommend the book mentioned above – terrific read, full of tapping exercises, and very enlightening!
