Monday didn’t start out so great – one of the moves in my workout triggered a bout of dizziness, so the rest of my workout was spent trying not to trigger that again, and it’s just not the way I wanted to start the week, you know?
But life happens.
So I did what I could in my workout, and realized it’s no reason to let the rest of the day suck – the day was literally only 4 hours old at that point, which meant I had 20 hours to turn this ship around!
A delicious coffee and an awesome commute almost completely covered by one of my fave Phish jams – Sand @ Big Cypress 12.31.99, and my mood was instantly boosted!

Doesn’t matter if it’s only 5 minutes… deep breathing in fresh air is amaaaaazing for your well being, and I mean with beauty like his, how can Friday be anything less than awesome?!
I truly adore my home state, how could I not?

Anyways… do I LOVE being up at that hour? I mean… staying in bed, cozy and warm with my husband and my dog sounds more appealing, but if this is the time I need to get up in order to get my fit on, get myself showered, ready and into work (especially right now during bridge work traffic periods) and get on with my day, then that’s what time I will wake up!
And while the HOUR may NOT be so desirable, knowing I am setting the tone for my day, for my week by showing up and getting it DONE – THAT feeling is desirable, absolutely!
To better your life, you have to be willing to put in the work; you have to be willing to keep doing life-bettering things CONSISTENTLY. You may not love it, but making it a habit and seeing the life changing effects helps give you the drive you need; it propels you through those times you don’t want to.
Dabble efforts get you dabble results, and this is my LIFE – how could I dabble?!
