Do I have any readers that have gotten certified in Nutrition? I have been wanting to go back to school and get credentials/knowledge in nutrition, one because it fascinates me, two because I feel like it would help me and my Diabetes, and I also feel it would help me help others, which, if you have been paying attention, is what I am all about; that’s my happy place.
But there are so many different ones, and it gets so confusing… I don’t want to do all that work to have it not count for anything, do you know what I mean?
I would love to chat with someone who has been there/gone through it – is this you?
Today’s wisdom is courtesy of the oh-so-fabulous Danielle LaPorte, and comes via my Desire Map Planner!
Many of us have our relationship to ambition and goal setting inside out. We’re chasing external stuff to do, have, and experience and hope that when we get there, we’ll feel awesome – and sometimes, we do. But too often, we really don’t.
Everything we do is driven by the desire to feel a certain way. Everything. You are not chasing the goal itself, you are chasing the feelings you hope attaining that goal will give you. So, knowing how you want to feel is the most potent clarity you can have. Generating those core desired feelings is the most powerful thing you can do with your life.
Be clear on your desired feelings, and then all of your goals are a means to create those feelings. It’s that simple. The foundation of a good relationship with intentions and goals is keeping in mind that the primary aim of setting and working toward them is to feel the way you most want to feel. The external things you want to have and experience are in service to your heart and soul.
Feeling good is the whole point and you get to define EXACTLY what “feeling good” means to and for you.
It’s your LIFE. It’s YOUR life.
What does feeling good mean to YOU?
Reformed person here! I never realized just how much energy I gave to the negative until two of my mentors basically called me on it.
WHAT. AN. EYEOPENER.
I should note that I am still very much a work in progress, and in the current state of the world it is easy to be sucked into negativity – but I have also developed practices to help myself get out of the negative rut – Tapping, journaling, sometimes even writing it out and then burning it…
Negativity is easy, but… so isn’t positivity! That’s what you need to spread, that’s what you need to focus your energies on. There is always good happening in your life, we just don’t always see it because the negative blinds us.
But as someone who was once bogged down by negativity, truly, there is hope… you have to LET GO of the negative mindset, because it’s not serving you! I fought that for a long time, but I started Tapping daily, and it made it easier to recognize it wasn’t doing anything for me, in fact it was only bringing those around me down with me, because I was spreading it!
Truly, Tapping has made a HUGE difference in my life, huge. I am so grateful for my mentors for not only calling me out on my negativity, but OFFERING solutions to combat it.
I don’t thank them enough for that!
