Tip Tuesday – Benefits of Meditation

Any fellow meditaters here? I had never really done it (I struggle with sitting still, nevermind not even THINKING anything) but it was an exercise we did at a recent Team Retreat, and I actually loved it. I did notice some thoughts creeping in, but redirected them back towards focusing on my breathing, and it was a nice release, it felt good and I definitely intend to make it part of my every day life!

I have been trying to do it several times a week to get in the habit… it is ripe with benefits, these are just a few!

Self Love Saturday – First Thing You Do

Is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning to hop on social media?

Guilty over here.

But, with how negative social media can be, is that really the best way to start a day? I don’t think it is.

Maybe starting with a positive podcast, or some personal development, or even just sitting in silence and soaking all the possibilities of the day up is a better way to go about it.

Feel Good Friday – Meditation

Do you meditate? I have been trying to do it more… I am not the best at sitting still and staying in the moment, but I am working on becoming better at this, because this little meditation time is loaded with benefits!

Let’s face it, our minds get quite a workout, and sometimes a little “time out” by way of Meditation can go a long way towards restoring our energy and positive mindset!

Benefits of Meditation

So while my ants-in-my-pants butt needs to be better about sitting still and just letting my mind flow freely, there are tons of reasons to do so, which is why I am making it an active practice. I might only be able to do it for 10 seconds right now, but 10 seconds becomes 20 seconds, and 20 seconds will eventually become 20 minutes… so on and so forth. It’s a process, but a worthwhile one!
