Truthbomb Tuesday!

 Truthbomb

If you aren’t willing to do what it takes to be YOUR best self, you waive the right to be envious of anyone being THEIR best self.

We all get the same 24 hours in a day. We all have obstacles. We all have to work for it.

Show up, put in the work!

Transformation Tuesday – You Can’t IMPROVE If You Don’t BEGIN

5 years ago, a 25 minute cardio workout would floor me (as in, I’d lay on the floor for minutes after, trying to catch my breath and process what the eff just happened!)

5 years ago, I couldn’t do a real push-up to save my life (I mean, I suppose if you held a gun to my head, the adrenaline might work in my favor… but it wouldn’t be pretty!)

5 years ago I couldn’t even run half a mile without cramping up and struggling to breath (and now 3 miles is a shorter run for me!)

I could go on and on.

5 years ago I couldn’t do a LOT of things that I can do now.

And that’s not to be braggy, it’s to show you the power of consistency – every day you show up, you get better. Stronger. Faster.

It comes easier – not because what you couldn’t do CHANGED, but because YOU CHANGED.

{{ BUT YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP }}

For 5 years now I have been showing up daily, consistently (and yes, I do pride myself on my consistency because many days, the struggle is fuckin’ real!) and working on myself.

I joined arms with others wanting to work on themselves, and together we push, we progress. The support and accountability have been GAME CHANGERS.

Some of these changes have physical transformations, but the real power lies in MENTALLY realizing I am capable of a lot more than I give myself credit for. And it’s empowering to continue to work towards being ABLE to do what I may not CURRENTLY be able to do.

You can’t IMPROVE if you don’t BEGIN.

YOU are the best damn project you will ever work on… are you ready to show up daily {{ FOR YOURSELF }} and ditch the excuses?! Let’s do it!

Wordplay Wednesday – Hakuna Masquata

What’s that? It’s wordplay Wednesday?! Well then, this shirt fits the bill, amiright?!

My philosophy is whatever lights you up, whatever MOTIVATES you to do what it is you gotta do, whatever FUELS you, INSPIRES you and propels you into ACTION… DO THAT.

For me it’s wordplay – wordplay is my jam and LIGHTS me up, it inspires me and ENERGIZES both my heart and my soul, which energizes the rest of me. I can’t explain it, it just does.

And that may not be everyone’s jam, which is fine. The point is, YOU have to find what lights YOU up and spurs YOU into action (because we all know thinking is one thing, action is another!)

For me, a fun shirt motivates me to do the dang things even when I may not want to (I am human; those moments absolutely happen), and sometimes it just IS that simple.

Find what fuels you and run with it – DON’T worry about what others think (I stopped worrying about people judging me for just how long some wordplay can make me laaaaaugh and reminded myself that LAUGHTER is a good thing!) and don’t feel the need to explain yourself – you owe no one an explanation, but you do owe it to your HEART and SOUL to do what makes them happy, healthy and vibrant.

What quirky thing energizes YOU?

Wednesday Wisdom – Be The Brightness

There is no ignoring that the world contains a lot of negativity – I ain’t about pretending the world is sunshine and roses, sorry. It has a dark side.

But it has a bright side! It has bright lights, souls set out to lift one another. Be the brightness. Let’s tip the scales back into the favor of positivity, love, empowerment and acceptance.

Be the brightness.

Thankful Thursday – My Awesome Husband

Nothing I do could be done without this guy. I know, I sound so co-dependent, but it’s not that… he is the fire that keeps me going when I doubt myself (happens), when I feel like giving up (happens), when I feel like I don’t matter or make a difference (happens), when I feel like I could possibly not give more of myself or do anything more (happens)… no matter what, this guy keeps me going.

He encourages me, and has from day one. I am sure when I told him I wanted to do this, he probably had his doubts like most other spouses, but I think he saw the light when he saw how passionate and excited I am to help people. When he saw things that meant so much to me that I couldn’t help but cry, I think he realized just how much this means to me.

He has never wavered in his support of or belief in me, and that is priceless. I am sure it is a struggle to see someone go through so much, and I am sure it can’t be easy to encourage someone to keep going when they feel drained and depleted; completely defeated.

But not this guy. He redirects me towards my goals. He points out how much people have said I help them. He pushes me to keep going, to be the best me I can be, to reach more people, help more people.

He knows I am doing this to give us a better life. To give our dog a better life. To give the kids we haven’t yet been blessed with a better life.

And the last two years, he has attended Summit with me. So he firsthand witnesses the sheer exhaustion. He witnesses how jazzed up I come back from workshops and workouts. He sees me light up when I attempt to share how it feels to workout at the crack of dawn with 25,000 like-minded people.

I have always struggled with self doubt and feeling like I matter; like I am visible, not invisible. And he reinforces on the daily that I matter, that I am making a difference, that I can do this, and that I am worthy of it all.

And bonus: he doesn’t point out that I LOOK as tired as I am, haha. Beyond grateful for this guy ❤
