Move It Monday – LIIFT4 Round 2!

Back at it! Round 2 began today!

“But Kara, I thought you were taking it a little easier?!”

And I am… I won’t be running as much, and I’m not focusing on increasing my weights as much as I am focusing on my nutrition, and mastering FORM…

But I still need to workout, I still need to move my body. That’s stress relief for me and now is definitely NOT the time to eliminate a much needed source of that!

Transformation Tuesday – LIIFT 4 Results!

8 weeks, 32 workouts, 6.25 inches

So I mean, could you imagine what a transformation I might have if I could get my nutrition dialed in?!

I might be unstoppable! 😉

I’m still pretty happy with my results, but I am also a little relieved that summer and it’s abundance of parties and cookouts and BBQ’s (oh my!) are on the way out!

I don’t struggle with fitness nearly as much as I struggle with nutrition, so for the next go, I am FOCUSING more on nutrition – I NEED that!

Fuck Yeah Friday – Finished LIIFT 4!

Dun dun dun DOOOOOONE!

It’s a CELEBRATION! 🎉

Another program started, another program crushed! 😍

And YES, it’s a big deal in my world because it wasn’t too long ago that the idea of a program start to finish intimidated and terrified me… when you lean into your fears (what if I fail? What if I have nothing to show for it? What if I can’t keep up? and so. many. more) and do it anyways, good things happen! You learn your true inner strength; you learn you are a freakin’ warrior!

When YOU are ready – I’m here! I got you, I’ll show you that YOU can do anything and everything too!

Full body HIIT might have nearly toppled me, but we did it!

Now THAT’s a Friday! 🙌🏼

 

Work For It Wednesday – Pushups with Knee Tuck

Today is supposed to be a day off from my program, so I was gonna run, but this weather is not run-friendly so I instead opted to do Friday’s workout today, and hopefully Mother Nature calms her shit so I can run Friday… (hint, hint, girl…)

Well, Joel had some surprises for me today, starting with a full body HIIT workout including a move I have never done… obviously there is MUCH room for improvement here, but I’m willing to work for it, I’m willing to improve.

If you aren’t willing to work for it, to work towards improvement, nothing I say or do can help you.

YOU have to be willing to put in the work – you ready?!

Feel Good Friday – Halfway There!

 whooooa, we’re halfway there…

Ahhh, nothing like a little chocolate drank that will help my little legs RECOVER from that all-HIIT leg workout while celebrating the fact I am ALREADY halfway through this program!

In a fun mental flashback, I recall when the idea of completing a program start to finish was not only intimidating, but TERRIFYING.

Since that “limited mindset”, I have completed upwards of 10 programs start to finish, and I love doing that… however challenging, no matter how many moves make me feel like I’m dying, no matter the obstacles, I love rising up and seeing it through til the end; it’s a powerful reminder that I can do hard things as long as I BELIEVE I can do hard things!

Friday Fitness – LIIFT 4

Guysssss! Last night I got to hop on a Zoom team call with the creator of the next program I am taking on – the one and only Joel Freeman!

So excited to see what his program has in store – his 4 days a week is PERFECT to supplement my extra focus on running as I continue my quest towards 175 miles this summer!

It’s like the Universe and Joel conspired to create a perfect hybrid, just for me 😉

He’s so excited to launch this program, his energy is contagious! I can’t wait to rock it!

Work For It Wednesday – Lifting and HIIT’ing!

Tried the sampler of the new workout coming out soon today… lifting and HIIT’ing?! I liked it!

Definitely feeling that, and 30 minutes feels like a breeze compared to what I am used to – but all that does is prove you CAN get an effective workout in 30 minutes, so there’s no excuse why YOU can’t be a badass!
