Mindset Monday – Metanoia

Ever heard this term? I hadn’t until a few months ago when I was focusing heavily on permanently evicting my negativity.

As you have probably picked up on by now, I have been working extensively on my mindset over the past year. I have come far, but still a work in progress.

Are you generally a positive or a negative person?

 

Truthbomb Tuesday – Ups and Downs In Life

Holy dramatic… but you can’t tell me this isn’t true!

No matter who you are, where you are from, how old you are, no matter the circumstances… you are gonna see ups and downs in life. It’s a stone cold fact of living.

Do me a favor… remember the good times. Store them fondly in your memory banks, bringing them out as easily and as often as you need to, in order to get past the not so good times. Take the lesson from the bad times (and I promise, there really is one!), learn what you can from it, and move on.

Bad times do not last. You are not a victim. You can, and so you should, rise above.

And if you are questioning if you really can rise above, if it’s really as bad as you think it is… I invite you to take a look out into the world… you will find someone always has it worse than you.

You aren’t dead, so embrace the ups and downs. Balance.

Feel Good Friday – Meditation

Do you meditate? I have been trying to do it more… I am not the best at sitting still and staying in the moment, but I am working on becoming better at this, because this little meditation time is loaded with benefits!

Let’s face it, our minds get quite a workout, and sometimes a little “time out” by way of Meditation can go a long way towards restoring our energy and positive mindset!

Benefits of Meditation

So while my ants-in-my-pants butt needs to be better about sitting still and just letting my mind flow freely, there are tons of reasons to do so, which is why I am making it an active practice. I might only be able to do it for 10 seconds right now, but 10 seconds becomes 20 seconds, and 20 seconds will eventually become 20 minutes… so on and so forth. It’s a process, but a worthwhile one!
