Transformation Tuesday – Gentle Cleanse

4¼ inches. Gone. And NOT missed.

Those inches were eliminated from my body during a gentle cleanse I took on last week!

I had been so weighed down with all the lingering summery splurges, and holiday indulgences, and as active as I am physically, that still isn’t enough to override some terrrrrible eating habits.

What, you think I like the fact that nutrition is quite a big chunk of wellness? No, but it is… so I gotta roll with it!

Honestly I think most people know by now I don’t really care about weight or pounds lost – I care about how I FEEL (cleaned out, energized, mentally sharp and oh, not to worry, still super sassy! 😉)

New Yoga for 3 Day Refresh!

Up til this week, when I did a Refresh, I didn’t work out the three day span because it’s a good time to give my body a •R E S T•, but this week Beachbody dropped three new yoga workouts designed specifically FOR the Refresh, so of course I had to give it a try!

Felt good to move but not do anything strenuous that would take away from my body resetting itself – you all know I believe in working hard and playing hard, but it’s important to also be gentle and show yourself and your body the love and compassion it deserves.

Day 2, here we go!

 

Gentle Cleanse – Day One!

The leftover Summer gunk. The candy gunk (yep, totally had a few pieces of candy after my 90+ day streak ended). The Thanksgiving gunk.

It’s time. Time to #unstuffmyself!

I’ve strayed a little too far from the badass healthier lifestyle I had grown to live and love – the one that was keeping my Diabetes under control and had me feeling GOOD.

I am shaking myself off and focusing on going forward, back to feeling light and energized, starting with a gentle 3 day nutritional reset (one where I eat REAL FOOD – no starvation tactics here!), to get rid of all the fluffy gunk bogging me down!

I have done this 3 day cleanse several times now and felt fantastic each and every time, physically AND mentally!

Try It Tuesday – 3 Day Refresh

I dislike calling this a detox because that word has gotten a bad, bad reputation in the wellness community, mostly because its associated with extremes that cause your body to react, well… extremely!

Trust and believe I would NEVER do anything extreme to my body, certainly nothing that would have me taking up residence in the bathroom!

No, this is a gentle cleanse, you get to eat plenty of clean, whole foods, and you won’t be spending the entire 72 hours in the bathroom – I PROMISE.

I have done this several times, including the days leading up to my wedding (what bride doesn’t want to feel light, bright, and recharged right before one of the biggest days of her life?!) and I have loved how I felt after every single time. It helped to stabilize my sugars and clean the gunk out of me!
