Flex Friday – Lead By Example

It ain’t easy putting yourself out there, can we just acknowledge that?!

Even though I post flex pics, and it might seem like I’m a bit of a narcissist, it’s actually a daily battle for me to post almost anything body/wellness related…

Because I still sometimes battle the mentality that it’s nothing to write home about. I still sometimes find myself focusing on flaws, and I still sometimes feel silly when posting pics of my efforts.

I still sometimes brace myself for those negative comments that sometimes follow (usually privately because keyboard warriors are not known for their courage 😉).

But do you know why I do it ANYWAYS? Because I’m a FIRM believer in practicing what I preach, and I am ALWAYS telling my challengers to be proud of their efforts and be empowered to share them, so that means rising above my own hang ups and SHARING, being proud and WALKING THE WALK.

I am a lot of things, but a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ person is not one of them!

I only hope to inspire and empower others to feel good enough to share their efforts, be proud of themselves, and know that everything – big or small – IS worth celebrating

Success Tip Saturday – Identify Your Hidden Strengths

Why is it the norm to point out and focus on WEAKNESSES? Sure, we need to identify them and work to strengthen them, but why do we not put enough focus on our STRENGTHS, and leading with those?!

List all your strengths, and why you enjoy doing them. And then, identify your hidden ones by looking at patterns or behaviors that overlap.

Focus more on what you can do and work towards getting better at what you can’t, but don’t gloss over your strengths!

Thursday Thoughts – What sets your soul on fire?

Ever been asked that before? If so, have you given it some thought? What sets your soul on fire?

Never pondered such a question? I invite you to do so!

For me, creation… helping people… staying true to myself and creating a better life for myself, my family, my future… those are things that set my soul on fire and keep me going when it gets tough (spoiler alert: it does!), but the alternative is quitting which wouldn’t make anything better, so its awesome to take those things and use them as fuel.

If something doesn’t make you happy, or fill you up, maybe it’s time to focus on the things that DO. Design your life, don’t just go to the default.

Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets YOUR soul on fire.

Success Tip Saturday – Get In The Game

Point blank: you can’t win if you aren’t even in the game! It may seem a bit harsh but it’s true. If the fear of failure is what’s holding you back, the sooner you realize that failure is what leads to success, the better.

No, failing isn’t fun, but the road to success isn’t always fun. You will not achieve success without failing a few times! You are worthy of success and so you can rise above failure. Can’t you?

Let your failures fuel you — they are powerful motivators in that if you are failing, it at least means you are trying; you are in the game. And unless you are in the game, you can’t win!

Saturday Sweat

Ahhh, it’s Saturday, and it’s almost springtime! Depending on where you are today, this could be a great workout to take to the beach, or the park, or somewhere with inspiring views, since it requires no equipment (a yoga mat is optional, but I find a grassy spot works just fine for me!)

Doesn’t even take 30 minutes – you can get this done quickly and efficiently!

Remember, if you want it, you have to work for it!
