I have had every opportunity to fail.
You can CHOOSE to be a victim, CHOOSE to be sad, CHOOSE to be a failure… or you can CHOOSE to change.
It IS a choice.
You have the POWER to CREATE your future.
To rise above.
To move on.
To F A I L forward.
Let your failures FUEL you.
Because you know what I have learned? You can’t shine without a little darkness
Sick of where you are in life? Want more, want better, want change? First, you have to change YOURSELF , and to do THAT, you need to change your MINDSET.
Hands down, your mindset is your biggest OBSTACLE, but also your greatest ASSET, when its one of POSITIVITY, not negativity.
Having a positive, growth mindset is the secret to changing your life… successful people, people who change their lives around, they are OPEN to new approaches and are WILLING to experiment with new solutions. They don’t box themselves in, they stay open to the possibility that if they want something bad enough, there IS a way, they just have to FAIL FORWARD until they discover it.
If you can get your mindset right, it will greatly help everything else – I speak from a lot of experience here!
So many of us fear FAILURE, when really, what we should fear is being in the SAME place NEXT year!
Ever felt like you were on auto pilot? Like you don’t remember how you got from one place to another? Are you wandering aimlessly in your life? Are you leaving it all up to chance?
This life? This is YOUR life. You get ONE. You get one life to LIVE. To experience the abundance this world has to offer. To BE. To FEEL. To LEARN. To ENJOY. To dream and strive, achieve and believe, to LIVE. To be yourself, and who you were put on this earth to be. Fully and unapologetically. Fiercely and fabulously.
You can’t SHINE on auto pilot. You have to choose your direction – mindfully and consciously. You have to choose how you want to feel. You have to strive to feel alive, invigorated, purposeful… FULFILLED.
Want something? Put your intention out there! Claim it by name, ask for it, and GO for it.
No matter what anyone says, your success is tied to your efforts. I know, I sometimes wanna call BS on this too, but nope, it’s true…
Your effort indicates how bad you want something, how many times you are willing to fail and fail again, and it also shows how willing you are to WORK for what you want, instead of having it handed to you (probably easier, yes, but definitely not nearly as meaningful, in my opinion!)
If you aren’t willing to make 100% effort, then, in all honesty, it doesn’t give the impression you really want something. Go on, go give it your all, and let me know how it works out for you!
First Monday of the new year! Let’s talk M I N D S E T.
I stand by this opinion with every fiber of my being. I get it, taking risks, being vulnerable, failing… all of them are scary. No one WANTS such things to happen… but that is life. An oops means you at least tried, you know one way or another. How can failing forward possibly be worse than never trying at all?
I find that when I don’t start my day/week with a to-do list, I am all over the place. I have a great memory, but there is always so many things pulling my focus that I can’t always remmeber things WHEN I need to remember them.
So I find I work best when I start with a list of things I need to accomplish, and run the day. Because if I don’t, the day runs ME, and I didn’t sign up for that — I’m the boss here! 🙂
Do you have any tips or tricks that keep the day from getting away from you? Let’s hear them!
I love this short, simple statement SO MUCH. So very true.
Life happens. It happens to all of us. Take a few hours (or fine, a day if needed) to feel the feelings about it, and then move on. Your pity party isn’t changing anything!
Happy Monday! I love this simple concept because with most things in life, there is risk attached somewhere. And most of us are hardwired to at least give a thought or two to such risks. The really enlightened, empowered people don’t give it much thought, instead thinking about the potential to soar, not fall on their faces.
Oh but still some others get stuck in a web of “what if I….”, and this is when it’s important to remember that we all fall. We all have missteps. We all screw up and have to start over. But those of us who really want to reach our goals and achieve our dreams… we DO. We DO screw up and have to start over, sometimes. We go for it, failing forward, because that’s the only way to go forward.
Life is full of risks. Nothing is gonna change that. You can shy away from risks and live your life in a comfortable, albeit boring, bubble. Or you can take the leap, elevating yourself to a higher existence, soaring.
What if you fly?
Happy Monday! This one really speaks to me because sometimes, we feel fuzzy and unclear, and like we don’t know what direction to go in. The best direction to go in? The one that has you going FORWARD. Keep going – that fog will lift, you will get that clarity. but you have to keep going for it to break!
The road is always there, waiting to be traveled. Sometimes we can’t see it, but it’s there. Have faith in that, and yourself, and keep going. Your visibility will get better as you get closer!
Keep going til you come out on the other side!
