Flex Friday – Going Backwards… for good reason!

Happy Friday! 😊

Full disclosure: It was hard for me to feel like I was “going backwards”, to see my muscles in flex Friday pics be smaller than they once were.

For months before I was even pregnant, I was setting the stage for pregnancy by not lifting heavy, but rather lifting what I would be able to sustain during pregnancy (which in this case is 10lbs, per my doctor) and so naturally, my muscles aren’t where they were.

And that was hard. As someone who’s always progressing and never looking backwards, as much as I hate to admit it, it was hard.

But the beauty of this is muscle has memory!

This is the path I need right now for a safe pregnancy, and when I’m able, I’ll get right back to kickin’ butt and lifting heavy – after all, I’ll have a baby to set a strong example for! 💕

Adventures in Pregnancy – Growth Check

Growth check today… heartbeat still strong at 143, estimated baby size is 2lbs and 6 oz… that sounded big for me at 27 weeks, but I’ve since been told it’s normal range! Baby’s developing well, still very active, but already over the pics and didn’t cooperate for any today 🤣

Oh kiddo, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet 😇

How big was your baby when they arrived?

Saturday Sweat – Be Unstoppable!

“She was fierce, she was strong, she wasn’t simple.
She was crazy and sometimes she barely slept.
She always had something to say.
She had flaws and that was ok.
And when she was down, she got right back up.
She was a beast in her own way but one idea described her best:
She was UNSTOPPABLE!” – R. M. Drake

Felt good to finish our week 1 today!

Enjoy your Saturday! Be unstoppable 😊

Feel Good Friday – Messy Hair, Don’t Care!

Some people want perfectly coiffed hair (and there’s nothing wrong with that – and some days that’s me!), and some people would rather toss it up in a messy bun and instead use that time to get some fresh air by the water, while the sun wakes up. ☀️

Today the messy bun was me! I soaked it all in and was talking to the baby, telling him or her I can’t wait to take them to the beach, to dip their feet in the ocean for the first time and feel the sand between their toes… so many exciting things to look forward to! 😍

(And no, I don’t feel weird talking to an unborn baby!)

Mamas, did you talk to your baby while they were in utero?
