Calling all Nutritionists

Do I have any readers that have gotten certified in Nutrition? I have been wanting to go back to school and get credentials/knowledge in nutrition, one because it fascinates me, two because I feel like it would help me and my Diabetes, and I also feel it would help me help others, which, if you have been paying attention, is what I am all about; that’s my happy place.

But there are so many different ones, and it gets so confusing… I don’t want to do all that work to have it not count for anything, do you know what I mean?

I would love to chat with someone who has been there/gone through it – is this you?

Motivation Monday – 2017 is your year!

How are you faring with your goals for the year so far? Are you working towards them, or procrastinating, hoping they will magically become reality?

I believe in you. I believe this is your year. I also believe its my year, because I know I am doing what I need to do to achieve the goals I set for this year.

But back to you… you can do this. Don’t get overwhelmed, don’t panic. Break your goals down into manageable chunks, and start chipping away at them. You will catch momentum, and the high of achieving things you set out to do will carry you through even the most terrifying of tasks.

You deserve to achieve what you dream of, what fuels you, what ignites the light inside of you. You can do it, you just have to put your head down and get to it. So go forth, and crush those goals. Your dreams are waiting!

Thursday Thoughts – Be A Dream Catcher

Oh yes, yes, yes!

You have dreams. We all do! Some of us are going after them, despite how hard it may be, despite uncertainty, despite anything. Lift those people up. Help them reach their dreams. Don’t pooh pooh their dreams or make negative comments. It may not be your thing, but its theirs! Be a dream CATCHER, not a dream KILLER.

And hey, if you are feeling daring? Go after your own!

Motivation Monday – Number One Skill in Life…

Who agrees? I mean, does anything really matter more than this? Never giving up?

number one skill - never giving up

You have to keep reaching, keep trying, keep failing, and keep going. It’s not about how many times you fail – some of the biggest successes in our generation also came AFTER the biggest number of failures.

Where would our world be if people gave up? Would we have the medical advancements that we do? Would we be such a technologically-capable world? Would we have the advanced science that we do? We wouldn’t have as many amazing inventions as we are blessed to have, and we certainly wouldn’t have the substantial arts, literature, and musical compositions that we do.

The beauty of life and living it is celebrating your failures AND your successes. Failure means you are trying! Success means you tried over and over again until you got it. BOTH are worthy of respect and admiration (and neither is easy!).

So never give up. Think how differently your life would be without medicines to help your ails, and all the other advancements we have, had those people given up, and let that inspire YOU to never give up.

Thankful Thursday – Our Own Home

We close on our new home at 12:30 today! I am nervous and excited and exhausted and anxious… I am basically every emotion you could think of all rolled into one.

A gorgeous house fell into our laps in our ideal neighborhood – the same neighborhood I grew up in, the same neighborhood my parents still live in, as well as my sister, brother in law, and nephew.

We never intended to buy a house that quickly but it’s perfect and we loved it and we can afford it and it’s in our ideal location… so we acted! It all happened very fast, and I am here to tell you that buying a house, with its copious amounts of paperwork and time commitments (hello, 10 hour homebuyers course) during the already busy hustle and bustle of the HOLIDAY season is not, I repeat NOT my smartest idea, but some things are too good to pass up! Purging and packing on top of our full time jobs and part time jobs… whewwwwww…. no joke!

It’s been stressful and time consuming, it’s been a whirlwind and it’s been exciting, and we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

2015 was a crazy busy year for us – I think back to all we accomplished this year, and I honestly think we only showed the tip of the iceberg with regards to what we are capable of!

We did 80% of our wedding stuff ourselves, including decorations and all that jazz. We planned the wedding. We shopped for and bought the aforementioned house. We worked our full time jobs, while growing all 3 of our businesses. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but there were a lot of moving parts!

Once we get moved in and settled, I am excited to build upon the solid foundation we have laid. I am so stoked for a new year, because bright things are ahead!

For now, I am off to close on my very first home, and I couldn’t be happier! 🙂

Wednesday Wonders – New Years Goals

I always enter the new year determined to make it even better than the last. More and more so lately, I have realized that I should do some things that I don’t, and I shouldn’t do some things that I do.

Finding the balance is challenging, but doable. For 2016, these are some of my goals!

Big things are going to happen this year!

This year I will

Do you have any goals you will accomplish this year? Care to share them?
