I’m just gonna dish out some tough love here: STOP wishing for it and START working for it.
I can barely count how many messages I get that begin with “I wish I was as XYZ as you…” and while it’s flattering, it also makes me feel like people might not realize that if I’m eating well, it’s BECAUSE I prep. If I’m having a healthy pregnancy, it’s BECAUSE I’m moving my body to the degree with which I’m able.
I’m not WISHING for it, I’m WORKING for it, because that, and ONLY that, is how you attain what you are aiming for.
Stop exerting energy on wishes, realize you are WORTH the efforts, and channel your energy into that – you will get MUCH further, I promise.
As always, if you need help, I got you! You are more capable than you think, but you gotta begin!
When your shirt basically calls out the reason you didn’t get up and get an official workout in…
Part of pregnancy, for me, is striking the balance between the movement I need and love, but also being gentle and getting sleep while it’s a little easier.
And today was one of those days with no work and nowhere to be very early, I could sleep in a bit. And then I did do a few reps of some movement, and since we’re also gonna be gettin’ our groove on at the Oblivious Fools show today, I’ll call it a good balance.
Because sleep is freakin’ awesome, mannnn 💕
Monday didn’t start out so great – one of the moves in my workout triggered a bout of dizziness, so the rest of my workout was spent trying not to trigger that again, and it’s just not the way I wanted to start the week, you know?
But life happens.
So I did what I could in my workout, and realized it’s no reason to let the rest of the day suck – the day was literally only 4 hours old at that point, which meant I had 20 hours to turn this ship around!
A delicious coffee and an awesome commute almost completely covered by one of my fave Phish jams – Sand @ Big Cypress 12.31.99, and my mood was instantly boosted!
What will you do to make Monday awesome?
I don’t like to think I can’t do something.
But I think most people know why I could never be a member of the military – for my safety and the safety of others, I think it’s painfully obvious that I couldn’t, with how poorly my ears function.
So as someone who has immense love and pride for her country and those who fight for it, I’m GRATEFUL to be able to show my love and support for the military on an every day basis, by showing up and bringing my absolute best efforts to my JOB!
Having been a Navy contractor in Newport for 11.5+ years now, I’ve worked with SO MANY amazing veterans and active duty military, and I consider it such an honor to put my pride and my talents to use for their use!
It’s all about perspective; maybe I can’t be in the military, but I can show my gratitude in other ways, so that’s what I do! 🇺🇸💕
First Monday of a new month! Time for some motivation! Will you make the shortest month the best one? February is our shortest month, but that doesn’t mean you cant change the world, and change your life during this short but sweet month!
The old adage is true, and I fully embrace it – it doesn’t matter how much time you do (or don’t!) have – what DOES matter is what you DO with the time you have.
What will you do today to better your life, to brighten your future?
These are easily one of the hardest moves, so with achieving them comes a HUGE euphoric rush. But if you can’t do them yet, don’t despair! You can totally work your way up to them, and this will help!
Improving your upper body strength will enable you to be able to do a full pull up, soon. Keep going – you are stronger every day!
This girl loves her an acronym! 🙂
Plus, the message is spot on! I love mornings because it brings a new day, and how the morning goes can set the tone for the rest of the day (sometimes!). A new day is a gift, and so it doesn’t matter what happened yesterday, last week, or last month. What matters is what you do today!
Monday’s aren’t so bad, if you make them count 🙂
