I’m back!

Sorry, all… I took a brief hiatus from blogging due to a very tragic death in my family and my inability to fully process things, but… the good news is, I am back! The even better news is, yesterday I spent the day getting CERTIFIED to teach Country Heat LIVE – so who’s gonna join me for some classes?!

If you are local to Rhode Island (New England area – have Instructor status, will travel!), I would love to connect and turn the Heat up together!

 

Thursday Thoughts – Just Dance

“Dance, full out, with no regard to who is watching, unconcerned with impressing or outshining.

Dance brilliantly, dance loudly, and dance as if your life depended on you pouring your entire heart out on the dance floor.”

One of my personal development books included this passage and I love it! While she was specifically referencing a dancer, the concept can be applied to life, too.

Don’t worry about who is watching, what they are doing, or needing to impress or get approval from anyone. Just live. Just dance.

Workouts I Love Wednesday – CIZE

Before Country Heat, there was Cize, by Shaun T. Shaun could probably get me to do just about anything because he is so fun, and passionate, and infuses all of that passion and energy into every single thing he does.

Cize is one of my favorites because it’s fun, easy to learn, a great workout (I sweat like crazy), and the moves are catchy!

Workout Wednesday – Country Heat is Coming Soon!

Do you like dancing? More specifically, do you like line dancing? You a country music fan? Many of my friends are… it’s not 100% my thing, but I enjoy some of it, and I really do just love moving my body, haha. But even I am totally looking forward to the launch of this one!

The creator of the super popular (and super effective!) 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, and half of the Hammer & Chisel duo, Autumn Calabrese, has come out with a new workout program called Country Heat, and it looks to be super fun and fat-burning!

Workout Wednesday – Cize

You’ve probably seen me talk about Shaun T’s newest program – CIZE – lately. This is because truly, this program is AMAZING. I was never one for organized dance – I can jam to Phish and the Grateful Dead like nobody’s, but give me choreographed routines and I am a mess.

Not with Cize! Because I have done so many of Shaun’s workouts (plus worked out with him LIVE at Summit!), I trusted the guy, so when people kept telling me “its okay, he teaches you step by step to build up to the routine, you will be fine!” I was like yeah, sure, secretly thinking in my head “this is gonna be HILARIOUS!”. But I’m not actually one to back down from a challenge, and my fellow coaches kept posting their crazy videos, daring the rest of us to try it, so I did. Like I posted before, I loved this workout. I had to take some time off of doing them because it has a lot of pivot moves, and my Heel Spur was aggravated by those.

But I’ve been back doing it in conjunction with Body Beast, and I gotta tell ya – I see ABS. Like actual abs – on ME. All because I am lifting weights in Beast, and dancing my pants off in Cize. It’s amazing!

So my challenge to you is this – put aside what you think you “can’t do” – try Cize! You will laugh your way through it, and have a blast. Truly, one workout was 34 minutes but it did not at all feel like 34 minutes; it flew by and felt like 10 minutes! So much fun, and in typical Shaun T fashion, he keeps it high energy all throughout. I personally need trainers that have high energy or I find it easy to get disenchanted and throw in the towel.

Self Love Saturday – Dress Up

My best (male) friend is getting married today! My husband is in the wedding, and I cannot wait to get all dressed up and celebrate an awesome couple! This is also the first wedding we are attending as a husband and wife, so that’s really cool too (at least to me!).

I love celebrating love! I love weddings, and I have a much greater appreciation for them after having planned and executed my own!

Can’t wait to slip on a dress I feel fabulous on, grab some heels, and dance the night away with a great bunch of people!

Workout Wednesday – CIZE

In the Beachbody community, there is a LOT of buzz about this new workout by Shaun T. Shaun T is the creator of the first product by Beachbody I tried (Focus T25), and what is ultimately what led me to become a coach and pay it forward.

I love the guys energy, truly. He pushes us, but he is fun and passionate, and makes it fun. His newest exercise program, CIZE, is FABULOUS.
