Wellness Wednesday – Know when to be gentle!

This mornings mood boost provided by a new flavor of iced coffee – pistachio! 😍

Normally my mood boosts come in the form of endorphins from a workout… but today I couldn’t even muster the energy to get out of bed. I’m dealing with some intense emotions and I just wanted to sleep (or try…), and even though working out usually helps my mood, today I chose to be gentle and focus on resting.

Wellness includes knowing when not to push – knowing when to be gentle with yourself. Took me waaaay too long to grasp that, but I’m better for it!

Move It Monday – Coffee, You The REAL MVP!

This morning was one of those days I reaaally had to talk myself into getting out of bed (and if not for a set time workout date with Sara, I likely wouldn’t have gotten up til much later!)…

And then I got back in bed after my workout and hit snooze no less than 5 times!

I’m not immune to those days, not at all. I just know my wellness is worth rising above them 💕

Make It Work Monday – Phish Saves The Day!

Monday didn’t start out so great – one of the moves in my workout triggered a bout of dizziness, so the rest of my workout was spent trying not to trigger that again, and it’s just not the way I wanted to start the week, you know?

But life happens.

So I did what I could in my workout, and realized it’s no reason to let the rest of the day suck – the day was literally only 4 hours old at that point, which meant I had 20 hours to turn this ship around!

A delicious coffee and an awesome commute almost completely covered by one of my fave Phish jams – Sand @ Big Cypress 12.31.99, and my mood was instantly boosted!

Feel Good Friday – You DO Have 5 Minutes

We are all busy.

We all have stressors.

We all have “stuff“.

But the healthiest, happiest and most successful people are the ones that learn to cope and manage all of that instead of letting it CONSUME them.

What works for some might not work for others.

I am forever a work in progress with coping and handling stress, but compared to how I used to “cope”, I am so very proud of how far I have come.

And I used to think I was ‘too busy’ to take five minutes to appreciate fresh air, sunshine and the peace and quiet… but it turns out making that a priority helps everything else!

Coffee helps, too 😉
