Motivation Monday – Be Your Own Hero!

Be your own dang hero – don’t show up because you feel you have to… show up because you know you are worth that!

Doing what YOU know is best, what YOU are capable of, what YOU are empowered and inspired enough to do? {{ H E R O I C }}

Go be the hero you are capable of being!

Fit Tip Friday – Change Your Mindset

I am so often asked how I stay motivated and consistently show up.

And honestly, some days, I have NO IDEA how I do that, I just do. Those days are rare, but they happen.

Other days, it helps immensely that I have a friend/success partner/workout accountabilibuddy that’s on the same page as me, and pushes me to show up, and reminds me why we do it, and on days we can, joins me virtually to crush it together.

And some days, it’s the amazing group Sara and I run, full of amazing ladies who are also working on their best self, who are also showing up consistently, who also motivate, inspire, encourage and empower me.

But also, something that worked for me was changing my mindset from feeling like I ‘have to’ (as if wellness is a chore or something 🤦‍♀️) to feeling blessed to be ‘able to’.

I have PUSHED my body, and she is CAPABLE… and that is a GIFT, one I try not to take for granted.

And those rare moments where my mindset shifts from “get to” to “have to” I remind myself that there are people who are unable – perhaps due to disease, perhaps due to injury, perhaps due to another circumstance. And so it makes it easier to realize I am blessed to be able, and that becomes fuel to JUST DO IT.

When you change the way you see things, magic happens! 💕

Motivation Monday- Push Through!

Last week was draining, I am just gonna own it.

But that’s last week. This is a new week now, and in HONOR of it being a new week, I am setting up to make today AMAZING, tomorrow AMAZING, the rest of this WEEK amazing.

Because I can. Because it’s just a bad day/week, not a bad life.

I just keep going.

If the road gets rough, stop, catch your breath, remind yourself you can do hard things, and keep pushing!

Wednesday Wisdom – Doubt

Like every other human being on this planet, I have bouts of doubt.

It’s normal, despite what anyone tells you!

What’s MOST important here is that you don’t let it PARALYZE you. You can’t let it overpower your drive and determination.

If you feed into it, it grows legs.

I can’t imagine where I’d be if I let my DOUBTS hold me back!

Acknowledge it, remind yourself you are capable, and then keep going, moving past it.

Doubt doesn’t last. Determination DOES.

Transformation Tuesday – Growth

Today’s transformation doesn’t include a picture, because how do you capture a picture of a shy, timid, slinking back, never-really-engaging girl who barely made a peep, versus the girl who’s engaged, who asks questions, who offers answers, input, value… how do you capture the HUGE surge of confidence, the enlightening empowerment, the self love to realize you are WORTHY of your dreams; you are CAPABLE of accomplishments?

How do you capture someone no longer being afraid to speak up, someone finding their voice?

How do you capture the feeling associated with realizing your passion, your potential, your PURPOSE?

You can’t. You can’t capture that in a side by side picture. I can only show you how happy and vibrant I FEEL now.

The real transformation is how I FEEL. I feel CONFIDENT. I know my PURPOSE. I know what EXCITES me. I feel strong, I feel my comfort zone is no longer even visible, I feel empowered and excited for what’s to come. I feel hopeful, helpful, and respected.

I didn’t always feel that way. That’s why this transformation, one of the few that CAN’T be captured via photographic evidence, is one of the most meaningful – I have the confidence to go after my dreams now instead of just sitting back, watching everyone else go after theirs.

I was scared, nervous and unsure… but I showed up.

Growth is awesome!

Success Tip Saturday – Identify Your Hidden Strengths

Why is it the norm to point out and focus on WEAKNESSES? Sure, we need to identify them and work to strengthen them, but why do we not put enough focus on our STRENGTHS, and leading with those?!

List all your strengths, and why you enjoy doing them. And then, identify your hidden ones by looking at patterns or behaviors that overlap.

Focus more on what you can do and work towards getting better at what you can’t, but don’t gloss over your strengths!

Transformation Tuesday – Being a Beachbody Coach

“The privelege of a lifetime is being who you are” …

A couple of my fellow coaches and I hosted a webinar where we shared our stories, and how being a Beachbody Coach has changed our lives (the very reason this blog exists is because being a Beachbody Coach gave me the confidence to do it!)

I am the second speaker, and while my speech isn’t perfect or anything, it took a lot for me to do something live like this… I have always been a little shy on that front due to a sudden, profound hearing loss in both ears around age 10.

So when my success partner and I decided to do this, I was a little nervous! But truthfully, any nerves were worth working past, because being a Beachbody Coach has really changed me… not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually as well! And it feels like it would be a waste to not share what it has done for me, and help others see what it could do for THEM.

Take a look, if you would like. See how I have come out of my shell, embraced all that life has to offer, and changed the financial reality of that and my husband – and we’re just getting started!

There is, TRULY, more to life than just going to work and paying your bills. It’s called LIFE because its meant to be LIVED!
