GratiTuesday – Car Payment

I made the first payment on this babe today!

Do I love having a car payment again after almost 3 years without one? I mean I wouldn’t mind the balance being zero… just keeping it real!

… but …

I do love that I am paying for a car I actually LOVE.
I love that I have the means to GET myself a reliable vehicle.
I love that I have worked SO HARD to rebuild my credit that I didn’t need a cosigner OR to accept a double-digit interest rate.
I love that my little side gig helps me pay for it. (could you use a side gig for some extra cash?)
And I love being reminded that I had the confidence to buy her on my own, something I honestly never thought I would have the confidence to do (we’ll chalk most of that up to the fact my ears function poorly 😉)

So yes… bills can certainly serve as a reminder of things we are {{ BLESSED }} to have!

Is your vehicle paid off?

Thankful Thursday – Success Group

I am so. very. thankful for my Success group and all of the amazing women in it – it’s become a community, a family; perfect strangers have merged into a beautiful support unit, and we weather the good, the bad, the ugly, and all of the in-betweens, together, in a judgment-free zone.

It’s evolved beyond just fitness, and it’s become everything related to life.

And I LOVE that my ladies feel safe enough and supported enough to share their struggles, their challenges, their tough decisions… These are our lives, it’s not always pretty. It’s not always easy. But we get through everything, together.

There are some of us in there going through some really real stuff, and the uplifting support shown to each other is so beautiful. It’s why we do all of this – we rise by lifting others, and we are better, together.

Could you use some support? Start here!

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful.

I am grateful.

I am blessed.

In this world, it is too easy to forget how blessed we are in life, but the past couple of weeks have been a welcoming refresher into how blessed I am to have the people in my life that I do. An uplifting, supportive circle of friends and family who all look out for each other, who offer a long hug when it’s needed, some kind words, a reminder to be gentle… so much more. Truly, SO much more.

I don’t thank the people in my life enough for being in my life. That’s my bad.

If you are reading this, you are part of my life somehow, and for that I am grateful. Thank you!

Thankful Thursday – Beachbody

Stark contrast.

My very first job, at the tender age of 16, the manager didn’t even want to hire me (she wanted someone who could also answer the phones…) and it wasn’t until she was reminded about DISCRIMINATION, that she agreed to hire me. And to some level, that experience has always stayed with me…

In companies where everyone is just trying to get ahead, it means a lot to me that Beachbody is so diligent in making sure those of us with hearing impairments get a level playing field, and they do this in many ways, but some of the most notable are transcribing their weekly National Wakeup Calls, and captioning every training/promotional video they do, and while that may be wasted on some people, it is certainly not wasted on me, and I am so very grateful and thankful they do this. It’s quite a contrast, and they do it willingly and happily.

Technology is a beautiful thing, and a company making the effort to make everything accessible is a HUGE part of why I am grateful for this platform.

Could you use such a platform with which to better YOUR life?

Thankful Thursday – This Guy

I don’t give this guy enough credit (or thanks!). I try to always be grateful and thankful, because I AM, but he really does a lot of behind the scenes work to take the pressure off of me. He cooks dinner most nights, helps around the house, takes the dog out usually 2 out of 3 times a day, he works his tush off at work, he is always the first to scrape my car off after a snowstorm, brings home coffees for me sometimes so it is one thing less that I have to do in the morning, listens to my visions, my goals, my fears, my frustrations… he is my soundboard, but he helps me focus on the big picture!

I am thankful for this dude for all of the above (and thats really just a small sampling of what this guy does!), but one of the things I am MOST grateful for is this guy knows how to make me laugh, even when I am really upset or mad (yes, sometimes that happens…), he just always knows how to break that up with laughter and humor, and if you know me, you know how big I am on that, so I am always grateful when he seamlessly breaks a mood with humor!

They say you should marry someone who makes you laugh, and I could NOT agree more. Love you babe!

Work For It Wednesday – Florida Vacation Edition

Vacations used to stress me out, majorly. The planning, the logistics, and oh, the money. Both getting the most bang for our buck, and the paying for it.

Vacations, even cheap ones, are stressful on most people’s finances. Or, if they aren’t, they are vacations that are paid in full because they were saved up for. Which takes a LOT of discipline, you know.

Here soaking in the Florida sunshine with family, my heart. Making memories. Moments. Laughing and living and loving life.

These are the moments we work hard for. These are the moments we grind for.

I am grateful today that by me sharing my story, and helping others feel good about themselves, I have made vacations less stressful financially. Still stressful, but less so. And some day, they won’t be, because they WILL be paid in full with the income I work my butt off to earn by being real, raw, honest and transparent in my journey.

That I have the courage to do that, and reap such fabulous rewards as the result, is awesome. And YOU also have the courage to do it, you just might not know it yet. Are you willing to work for it? Let’s chat!

Because it must be said:

**Beachbody does not guarantee any level of success or income from the Team Beachbody Coach Opportunity. Your income will, of course, match your efforts!**

Wednesday Wisdom – It’s Not About Circumstances

One of my favorite Coaches said something on a National Wakeup Call that resonated with me…

She said that it doesn’t matter how you grew up or what your circumstances were, success isn’t just for a particular group of people based on how they were raised.

No, success IS for a select group of people, but this group consists of people who are WILLING to work for what they want; the people who are WILLING to rise above their circumstances, and put themselves out there, shining brightly even in the darkness. This group of successful people are for the one’s WILLING to say “that’s not how my story ends”…
And I WILL be one of them. My upbringing was awesome, and I am GRATEFUL, but truly, I always knew I had what it takes to make a difference, to be successful, to change my own life, but I just didn’t know HOW. I always wondered if I would just get by, until I realized in my core just how much I WANT to NOT just get by; I want to THRIVE, I want to HELP people, I want to change my OWN life, and the world… I want to do SO much.
And so I am working towards that. I am working on me, because I have some wrinkles to iron out. I am working on being okay with putting myself out there, warts, flaws, and all, and not being upset when I am not everyone’s cup of tea.
It’s okay to not be everyone’s cup of tea… some people prefer coffee! 🙂
