Adventures in Pregnancy – They Can’t All Be Good Days…

Today has just been one of those days where pregnancy kicks my ass.

I’m blessed this isn’t the norm, and grateful I have a husband who can prepare the slightly indulgent dinner my heart desires (WITHOUT judging me 😉)… tomorrow is a new day!

Did you have an easy pregnancy?

Saturday Sweat – LUCKY

I know my St Patrick’s day workout shirt says LUCKY… but it should say blessed! It’s so cute I couldn’t resist.

I know I’m blessed and that’s why I’m soaking this whole pregnancy in – the challenges and all. It’s all part of a blessing this size.

I know SO many worthy men and women who are trying and trying and haven’t gotten their blessings YET, and my heart continues to go out to them as I send out baby blessings. I hold out faith it will happen for them, as it happened for me and so many others. I BELIEVE.

So today and all days, I will continue to feel so blessed and continue to spread that forward.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

No ones life is perfect.
No ones family is perfect.
No ones body is perfect.

But you are here. Your heart is beating. Your blood is flowing, and oxygen is enabling you to breathe.

So yes, there is always something to be grateful and thankful for. Use those as your base and build upon it!

I’m grateful and thankful for too many things to list so ill try to sum it up… I’m thankful for my life and the ability to live it, grateful for all the amazing people I’m blessed to have be a part of it, and truly honored to have so much love and laughter in my life. Happy thanksgiving all!

What’s something else YOU are thankful for?

Thankful Thursday – My Husband, My Chef!

Today and every day, I am thankful for this guy, for so many reasons, but today’s focus is on how he steps up and keeps me fed well. I don’t mind chopping and meal prep, but I don’t love cooking, and he always steps up and helps me out with my prep and all of our meals, and I can never thank him enough for it!

Marriage is a partnership 💕

(I should note he isn’t really a chef, but if you tasted his stuff, you wouldn’t know that! He has lived with 3 professional chefs who are all his best friends, so he has gained a lot of skills and knowledge!)

Truthbomb Tuesday – VOTE

You ARE free to do what you want.
Or not do what you don’t want to do.
You are FREE to choose.

But you are not free from the consequence of your choice 😉

That’s the #truthbomb for ya today.

(ps: on social media, I have seen some people picking on/mocking the people who cared enough to vote and use their voice, and want to let the world KNOW that they realize that voting is both a right AND a privilege by proudly displaying a sticker… why? Why are we cutting people down for that again?

I took a selfie with my sticker because sticker or not, I’m PROUD to be able to vote, GRATEFUL to have the right, and THANKFUL enough to exercise it! The sticker may be just that, a sticker… but it also represents something much bigger, something much deeper. 🇺🇸

That you are more concerned with someone’s sticker than you are about working towards change and using YOUR voice says way more about you than it does about anyone else.)

Diabetic Life!

This goof kept me company for some of my workout, which started off rough due to a headache and low sugars, so she sat me down, told me to eat a banana and let it work it’s magic, and then get to it when I was ready.

I do not always love the “waiting period”, but it’s important to not begin an intense workout on low blood sugars – to do so would be silly and irresponsible, and while I have my flaws, I would like to think that I have become a responsible person who puts my health first over my pride and ego (or at least, it is a work in progress!)

Coach Roxy is all business, and she does her coaching from the comfort of the couch!

I love her so much, sometimes I honestly feel she senses when Mama needs some help/company and stays with me… of course, it could just be that she’s a female dog who does what she wants, but in my Mama heart, I feel like she just knows…

GratiTuesday – Car Payment

I made the first payment on this babe today!

Do I love having a car payment again after almost 3 years without one? I mean I wouldn’t mind the balance being zero… just keeping it real!

… but …

I do love that I am paying for a car I actually LOVE.
I love that I have the means to GET myself a reliable vehicle.
I love that I have worked SO HARD to rebuild my credit that I didn’t need a cosigner OR to accept a double-digit interest rate.
I love that my little side gig helps me pay for it. (could you use a side gig for some extra cash?)
And I love being reminded that I had the confidence to buy her on my own, something I honestly never thought I would have the confidence to do (we’ll chalk most of that up to the fact my ears function poorly 😉)

So yes… bills can certainly serve as a reminder of things we are {{ BLESSED }} to have!

Is your vehicle paid off?

Thankful Thursday – Success Group

I am so. very. thankful for my Success group and all of the amazing women in it – it’s become a community, a family; perfect strangers have merged into a beautiful support unit, and we weather the good, the bad, the ugly, and all of the in-betweens, together, in a judgment-free zone.

It’s evolved beyond just fitness, and it’s become everything related to life.

And I LOVE that my ladies feel safe enough and supported enough to share their struggles, their challenges, their tough decisions… These are our lives, it’s not always pretty. It’s not always easy. But we get through everything, together.

There are some of us in there going through some really real stuff, and the uplifting support shown to each other is so beautiful. It’s why we do all of this – we rise by lifting others, and we are better, together.
