Try It Thursday – One Scoop

Can one scoop really change your life, and help you in your quest to be your healthiest, best you?

Can’t speak for anyone else, but it absolutely has been life changing for me!

I have noticed a pattern – the days I start with Shakeology in the early morning, my cravings are either nonexistent, or insignificant. It’s those few days (they happen!) where I don’t get my Shakeology in the morning, that the day starts to wear on me, and I begin to crave junk; chocolate, cakes, ice cream and donuts; mmm donuts…

Now I am NOT saying this stuff is a magical potion that will cause you to banish thoughts of eating junk food to the ends of the Earth, never to test your willpower again, because it won’t… but due to the versatility of this stuff, you can mimic quite a lot of flavors, which allows you to satisfy a craving in a cleaner way.

And so then when you DO indulge (hello, balance!), you can feel less guilt because its less frequent.

So yes, if one scoop a day can keep me from devouring the whole junk food aisle… scoop away!

Food Swap Friday – Greek Yogurt for Sour Cream

I am a member of the “Sour Cream Junkies” club… I LOVE the stuff. I know, not good, or good for me… today’s swap has actually become one of my favorites, because it really does offer the same taste and effect, while offering MORE protein and LESS fat than it’s counterpart of Sour cream.

Note: occasionally, I still enjoy sour cream… it’s become the exception, not the rule, and that’s okay — life IS about balance, after all!
