The truth is no, I didn’t always enjoy water and I definitely didn’t drink enough.
And yeah, it was definitely a slightly challenging habit to get into because I mean, compared to the millions of drinks out there with ‘flavor’, why would I choose water?
BUT… with an open mind, I started staying consistent and allowing my body (and mind, and spirit…) to reap and feel the benefits of being hydrated, and I won’t sit here and list the multitude of benefits, but they are plentiful!
And then it became easier… I found myself craving water. I went from never having water with me to basically always having it with me.
Not all habits come easy – and many never get easier. But you were made to do hard things – the payoff is worth it when it comes to the health and wellness of your body, mind and spirit.
Now go hydrate – start your habit! 😊
Who’s a fan of quinoa? It took me a little bit to come around to it (it’s SO little…) but I am fully on board now! I like it and it’s loaded with benefits, so that helps too. It’s very versatile and can be prepared a number of ways, which is always good for me because I love variety!
I do eat meat, so I am not usually lacking in protein, but this is a nice, clean alternative for those who may not be into eating meat.
So tell me, do you like quinoa? Do you have any yummy recipes to share?
Before I started drinking Shakeology, I had heard of this one. For some reason, I always drew association to Bilbo Baggins (just due to name similarity) and always imagined it was a magical potion, haha.
It’s not, but it does have plenty of benefits, making it a viable superfood. It is also helpful in treating several medical conditions.
I know, you hear it everywhere.. “drink more water” … “water is good for you!”… and you should, because it is! Water is hands down the most effective tool you can have, in my opinion. And it’s FREE! (You might need a filter system, but thats a very worthwhile investment!)
This is just a small snippet of why h20 is so beneficial… the actual running list is much, much longer.
A hydrated body is a happy body, especially in the warmer summer months when we are sweating more often! It is very important to stay hydrated, and replenish your body. I understand that some people don’t like the taste of water, but there are tons of options to make it tastier. If you need some ideas, let me know and I will type up a blog post!
Water is one of the areas I am very strong – I enjoy the taste, and nothing beats cool water. Like I have said, my trusty water container is almost always with me, and I refill it often. If it is recommended that you drink half of your body weight in ounces, and I average around 100 ounces a day, at 114 pounds… I think you can see where I am going with this. But the truth is, it’s really such a simple, yet powerful tool. I have noticed that the rare time I don’t drink enough water, I am irritable and cranky.
Stay hydrated this summer! 🙂
