Wellness – Deadlifts!

Apparently, these new kicks had me feeling extra badassy, because I was deadlifting more than half my body weight today!

No big deal, right? Well actually, to me it is, because again, I keep flashing back to a time in my life where walking was painful, nevermind lifting anything.

And I didn’t go from not being able to lift anything to lifting more than half my weight… I progressed. I got stronger. It’s just another testament to how far I’ve come and the POWER of CONSISTENCY.

The sooner you honor yourself by showing up every day, the sooner you will be at your strongest!

Nope, I didn’t always love Monday’s, and I sure as shit didn’t always wake up ready to slay, to set the badass tone for the week…

But something happens when you CHANGE your mindset from “waaaaah, the weekend is over?!” (sidenote: I DO still sometimes feel that way simply because I LOVE having more time to spend with friends, family and my pup!) to “Okay, it’s a new week, it doesn’t matter what did or didn’t happen last week, let’s focus on THIS week and making it count!” – when you make that shift, Monday becomes this platform, this canvas for all sorts of badassery!

So get to it! Who’s slayin’ today?

Work For It Wednesdaaaaaay

When your reward to yourself for successfully finishing phase 1 is not brownies, cupcakes, or ice cream, but rather, new leggings, a new sports bra, a 15lb Kettlebell, and heavier weights so you can kick even MORE ass, you might be OBSESSED 😉

I’m not knocking those who choose/chose an edible reward, this is just how I personally prefer to reward my hard work and dedication to myself!

Thursday Thoughts – Show Up

Every day, I SHOW UP.

Some days I am ALL FIRED UP, and I kick ass, and it goes down in the history of productive days.

Other days, I take maybe ONE step closer to a better me, a better life. But I still take a step, and that step matters.

You are WORTH showing up every day, and every.single.step.matters, no matter how small. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

It is when you BELIEVE, and when you string together these moments, paired with those days that you are just uneffin’stoppable, that you are gonna SOAR.

So WILL you soar? Or are you content to just get by?

Make It Happen Monday – Promises to Yourself

Did you know that we are much, much more likely to honor promises made to other people, than we are to ourselves?

Truthfully, it is easier to break promises made to ourselves than it is to someone else, yet keeping our self-promises builds the self-efficacy and self-confidence upon which character is based. If you want to feel like an unstoppable badass, start by keeping the promises you make to yourself when nobody’s looking.
