Truthbomb coming at ya! š£
I would, without a shred of doubt, rather have a limited number of years full of adventures as my authentic self, instead of countless years safe in the corner, or not being true to myself.
No question – I’m all about being true to who Y O U are, standing out and embracing all your quirks and flaws.
In a world where you can be anything, JUST BE YOU. The world doesnāt need anything or anybody else, the world needs ā¢you⢠š
(Oh, and since my shirt is another truthbomb, you get a 2fer1 š)
Iām not one of those people. Iām here to keep it real. Anything else doesnāt feel authentic to me and we all know how I feel about THAT.
So no, itās not easy. It takes a lot of effort.
But you were made to do hard things. You are stronger than you think and capable of accomplishing great things.
Just start – donāt overthink it, just do what you can and progress.
You have to start to be great, dontācha know?
Actual message I received:
āI just LVE all youāre posts! Have you ever considered starting your fitness journey?ā
So a couple of things here, the first being I get what this person is trying to do, but the problems are 1) itās clearly a generic copy/paste message, and 2) if you are gonna SAY you love all my posts, please realize that Iām gonna know thatās nonsense the second you pose your question, because while I try not to be āin your faceā about my fitness journey, itās at least evident Iāve STARTED my fitness journey.
Sorry, but messages like that ring extremely hollow and inauthentic to me, and I think we as a society, as entrepreneurs, as network marketers… as HUMANS, are better than feigning interest in someone without being bothered to at least take a quick glance at their page.
Come to me real or donāt come at all āš¼#truthbomb
Just my .02, you may keep the change – and if Iām being honest, 3) your*
Okay, you want some real talk? Let’s do real talk! š
Diabetes fuckin’ sucks. I won’t even sugar coat it (because sugar is the devil, duhhhh), but it sucks. The second you think you got ish figured out, NOPE, you don’t; back to the guessing games you go!
And I KNOW, before anyone starts coming after me with pitchforks and “it could be so much worse…” stories, I know it could be worse. But any way you slice it, Diabetes still sucks.
It sucks to wake up to low blood sugars and feel out of sorts.
It sucks to continually have to stab your own fingers to draw blood to test.
It sucks to do your best and make no progress.
I could go on. Diabetes just sucks.
I will continue fighting, as I have been, but Diabetes sucks, and having been in the trenches for 8+ years now, I’m allowed to feel that way, and I’m allowed to feel frustrated, and I’m allowed to dislike feeling helpless. I’m NOT helpless, but sometimes it definitely feels that way, and I do a lot of things well, but helpless ain’t one of em.
And I realize this post is far from cheerful and upbeat, but life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, and I am big on keeping it real.
Diabetes is TOUGH… but Iām tougher, watch
YOU.
There is only one.
You were gifted with a huge responsibility – to be YOU, to let the world see YOU, and to do what makes YOU happy.
Tall order? Perhaps… but you can handle it *wink*
Be nothing less than 100% yourself.
When you walk through a store or down the street, do you greet people you come across? I used to always have my face down, no eye contact made, and just doing my thing… but about a year ago, I started looking up, making eye contact, smiling, and saying hello, and it’s so simple, but makes you feel so good.
There are tons of things that wouldn’t even exist if not for someone saying hello – you might never have talked to your spouse, you may never have met your best friend, you may never have come across the business partner with which you created an awesome company…
For me, someone looking to help people change their lives, and the world, it starts with saying HELLO. Without greeting people, the relationship will never begin to build, and that’d be quite a pity.
Go out and say HELLO.
Have you ever heard of this guy? He is known as the ingredient hunter – he sources all the yummy botanicals in Shakeology.
Now, some people might read the ingredient list and think “ooh, that sounds pretty!”, but Darin didnāt travel around the world to find exotic superfoods that sound interesting or look pretty.
The ingredients in Shakeology were chosen because they have shown to be beneficial to peopleās health again and again. These superfoods are āsuperā because can benefit our health!
It’s the same reason I drink my shake religiously… not because it’s pretty, but because it HELPS me (and tastes good!)
Have you ever complimented a perfect stranger?
I never used to, but more and more, I find myself just blurting out “I love your shirt” or something else. Usually impulsively which for me, adds to the feeling associated with it. Because have you ever noticed how someone smiles and lights up when complimented?!
I think the world could use more complimentary offerings and less critical ones – what say you?
