Guess who just finished Transform: 20?! We did!
First time we’ve finished a program together in the same place, not separated by a screen or thousands of miles – I like it!
It’s also the first program I’ve started and finished pregnant, which definitely added some challenge and took away some energy, but again, my goal was to move, not to crush any records!
Another completed program in the books! 🙌🏼
Bob Marley, baby and I kicked off the sixth and final week of Transform: 20 today!
It’s not my first “final” week, but it IS the first final week of a program I’ve done completely pregnant, and I’m proud!
Yes, my stamina and my abilities have changed, because growing a life is HARD, and takes a lot out of you, but I’m proud to be able to honor both my body and the life I am growing by MOVING.
While it’s been a humbling journey, it’s also shown me what I’m capable of, and that INCLUDES doing my best and being proud instead of being upset because my capabilities may not be where they once were (for good reason!)
It is TOO EASY to feel defeated and to let that take away from the real win here, which is SHOWING UP.
Stop worrying about what you can’t do and start focusing and appreciating what you can!
Anyone who says you can’t work up a serious sweat in 15 minutes has obviously never worked out with Chris Downing!
Stop assuming what ISN’T possible and start thinking about what IS, and then put yourself into action and DO IT!
For the record, doubting and naysaying burns approximately 0 calories 😉
Fur mom life, am I right?! 😍
I usually finish before she wakes up, but sometimes she comes out before I finish and commandeers my space, tries to step all over my face (floor work + a playful, rambunctious pup…)
Even so, this is still better than having to schlep myself to a gym, wait for machines, and share sweat with those who ‘don’t remember’ to wipe things down…
That’s why I love being able to do my thing in the comfort of my own home. Some people love gyms, and power to them – you do you!
But I haven’t been to a gym in about 8 years now, and I think I’m doing okay… puppy distractions simply mean it takes a little longer, but I am firmly ‘team puppy love’!
As long as it gets done (and it does!)
