Truthbomb Tuesday – VOTE

You ARE free to do what you want.
Or not do what you donโ€™t want to do.
You are FREE to choose.

But you are not free from the consequence of your choice ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thatโ€™s the #truthbomb for ya today.

(ps: on social media, I have seen some people picking on/mocking the people who cared enough to vote and use their voice, and want to let the world KNOW that they realize that voting is both a right AND a privilege by proudly displaying a sticker… why? Why are we cutting people down for that again?

I took a selfie with my sticker because sticker or not, Iโ€™m PROUD to be able to vote, GRATEFUL to have the right, and THANKFUL enough to exercise it! The sticker may be just that, a sticker… but it also represents something much bigger, something much deeper. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

That you are more concerned with someoneโ€™s sticker than you are about working towards change and using YOUR voice says way more about you than it does about anyone else.)

Saturday Stats – New Cases

Did you know that, according to the American Diabetes Association, 1.4 million American’s are newly diagnosed with Diabetes every year?

1.4 million NEW cases. Tacked on to a society that is teeming with Diabetics. We are everywhere.

We can’t let this number grow.

We need more research, we need to be more mindful about what we do and do not put in our bodies, we need to make being active a priority, not a once-in-a-while thing, we need to learn how best to manage our stress and emotions, and we need to CARE about our health.

We must be diligent in this management. I know for me, I don’t stay on top of things as well as I should, and I am actively working on changing that because myself and my health are worth that. You and YOUR health are worth that.

You are not alone, and this is not how your chapter ends – if you need an accountabilibuddy, reach out – I’d love to work with you!

Let’s bring that statistic down by a LOT, shall we?

Happy 4th of July!

America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand. Harry S Truman

Be careful in your celebrations today! Remember what this country is all about, and do your part to uphold that! Live a little, enjoy some BBQ, watch some fireworks shoot off (from a safe distance) and just celebrate the day for what it is – the birth of this nation’s independence ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy 4th of July!

This is one of my favorite holidays ever – despite it’s flaws, I love this country and I am 100% dedicated to it. My family members fought hard for the freedoms and rights, and I honor this by being as Patriotic as I can be. I am proud to live in this country (but we could stand to get back to some of what makes the USA so great….), and I am proud to celebrate Independence Day! I am proud to be American (and I work hard to dispel the stereotypes put forth about Americans).

4th of july

It’s always a fun day, very upbeat, fireworks, just a good time. I love it… I love good old Americana! ๐Ÿ™‚

Doing anything fun for the 4th? Have fun, and be safe! ๐Ÿ™‚
