When a super sweet challenger sends you an amazing gift that would come in handy at any given time, but will especially handy once we have a baby and have considerably less flexible time! 💕
She had gotten this book herself and shared some posts with us, and I had mentioned how a concept like that would come in super handy once the baby is born and time is at more of a premium (but we will need to eat, and nourish ourselves!) and she very sweetly insisted that she let her gift this to me, from one mom to another.
I have the sweetest people in my life!
Thank you so much Kate, I just glanced through and I’m so excited to dig into this baby!
I mean, really CVS?!
Granted it’s not exactly the MOST challenging feat, as I only STAND 5 feet, but is it really necessary for a single-purchase receipt to span the length of my body?! (And you can’t see it but my baby is judging you too 😉)
The trees, they are a-cringing.
Yep, I totally brought one of my sweet dog’s blankets on my trip with me – it smells so good and so her! (what, I’m pregnant and hormonal, don’t judge haha) and YES I totally cannot wait to get home to my pup and my husband today!
I looooove going on vacation, but I am always so happy to get home – I love my home, y husband, my dog, my creature comforts… traveling is often, but there is no place like home!
Do you like to travel?
Today I did something I never, ever do… I bailed halfway through the workout.
Okay so, my shirts a lying liar who lies… I wasn’t having a good time because I still don’t feel well and my throat is still in that cool little “knives have invaded it” stage and I’ve since added a phlegmy cough, but I also know totally skipping a Monday wasn’t gonna make me feel any better, so I tried. I did what I could.
I’ll settle for 17 minutes of workout versus nothing. This is me taking my own advice to my group to let go of the all-or-nothing mindset. I’m human. I have limits. I have flaws.
Tomorrow will be better 😊
I’m coming for ya, Michigan! ❤
I am headed there to spend time with one of my absolute best friends, and her family. We will laugh, be goofy, mastermind, watch U of M football, eat yummy food, drink yummy drinks, and just be grateful we found and connected with each other.
It gets no better! She is my person ❤
I’m NOT in Michigan enjoying food, football and brews with one of my best girls, but I AM representing the Blue in the 401… all while pondering how someone has NOT perfected functional teleportation yet…
Opinions are great, and we need diverse perspectives… but opinions change nothing.
Today I had my last appointment with this guy, my eye doc, because he is embarking upon the slightly slower paced life known as retirement… and I cried!
Because… little known fact about me, but I dread most doc appointments. Suffering a sudden, profound hearing loss in my Tweens, I was poked, prodded, tested, examined, and hooked up to machines CONSTANTLY growing up. I know, it all served a VERY good purpose, but as a young kid, it can be exhausting and overwhelming, too.
And especially, having lost one major sense, I was always VERY hypersensitive to my eyes, but this guy ALWAYS put me at ease with his manner, always explained what he was doing so I could understand, and never made me feel like a baby – I always got some laughs at my appointments with him and I mean, have we met? LAUGHTER IS MY HAPPY PLACE! A doc’s office doesn’t usually bring about such a happy vibe! 😊
I know, it’s silly, but it is what it is… He always made me feel much more relaxed, and I think that’s really an extremely important trait in a medical professional!
Do you have a doctor your life that you just adore?
Today wasn’t a 5k but, because I want to run at least once a week, I went out for a two mile jaunt.
I also shocked myself by apparently crushing incline?! Haha, running never ceases to make me shock myself!
It’s important to note that years past I would have insisted that my Map My Run app was broken and I didn’t REALLY run a 6.5 minute mile… but I’m tired of always taking away from my own achievements. I’m always encouraging others to own their badassery, time to walk that walk!
