Day one or one day?
Choice is yours!
Today was supposed to be my day 1 of the updated, relaunched 21 Day Fix, but there is a slight delay with the captions (and captions contain important info like cues, safety information, counts etc) so I might push it off a bit and wait for the captions so I can do it safely and effectively instead of bumbling my way through (which isn’t something I’d do anyways, but certainly not pregnant, where doing a move wrong could be extra dangerous!)
I still got a workout in, which is good, because I had something stressful to face today and I needed the release!
What’s your go to when you have to face something you’d rather not?
Guess who just finished Transform: 20?! We did!
First time we’ve finished a program together in the same place, not separated by a screen or thousands of miles – I like it!
It’s also the first program I’ve started and finished pregnant, which definitely added some challenge and took away some energy, but again, my goal was to move, not to crush any records!
Another completed program in the books! 🙌🏼
Being that today kicks off week 3 of this program, we “graduated” and, if we wanted to, we could add a riser to our step.
So I decided to give adding one riser a try, but I promised myself from the beginning if it felt like too much or I didn’t feel stable, I’d remove it, no guilt… because I’m not here to prove anything or to put myself and my little one at risk, I’m just here to move my body and stay active, and I can do that without risers too!
Today wasn’t so bad, definitely felt the burn, though!
Who’s pushing play on this snowy Monday?
You know what I find heroic?
Yes, of course our military, first responders and their families/the people who support them, absolutely!
But I also find it heroic when someone decides to love themselves as they are, while also loving themselves enough to show up to be even better.
It IS heroic when someone realizes their self worth enough to know they are great, but can be even greater. To show up, shine their light, and be their brightest self.
It is NOT selfish to take the time for yourself and your wellness – I do it now and I will continue doing so through my pregnancy AND after the baby is here.
It might be a little more challenging, but when have you ever known me to back down from a challenge?! 😉
Today’s open eyes are sponsored by COFFEE!
This morning was one of those days I reaaally had to talk myself into getting out of bed (and if not for a set time workout date with Sara, I likely wouldn’t have gotten up til much later!)…
And then I got back in bed after my workout and hit snooze no less than 5 times!
I’m not immune to those days, not at all. I just know my wellness is worth rising above them 💕
Anyone who says you can’t work up a serious sweat in 15 minutes has obviously never worked out with Chris Downing!
Stop assuming what ISN’T possible and start thinking about what IS, and then put yourself into action and DO IT!
For the record, doubting and naysaying burns approximately 0 calories 😉
Dabble efforts will get you dabble results!
You have to get to a habit of consistency – eating one clean meal won’t make you healthy and crushing one workout won’t make you fit.
But consistently doing these things will get you there!
And so even on a day I have a headache and didn’t really want to, I did, and I’m better for it.
… yeah well, I wined yesterday so I’m planking today! 🍇🍷
No guilt – I needed the outing and all it entailed; but it’s definitely incentive to show up today and move my body!
YOU gotta live your life and I gotta live MINE… it’s all about balance! 😊
