Superfood Saturday – Salmon

Who likes Salmon? I love it, especially grilled, but any preparation works for me.

As I have said, my relatives in Alaska send us lots of salmon, and its always delicious. I like it because it is a lot leaner than red meat, and doesn’t contain carcinogenic compounds like other proteins can.


The Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce cholesterol, maintain flexibility of arteries and veins and strengthen cardiac muscles, while the essential amino acids repair damages to the cardiovascular tissues. They also help reduce the blood pressure too, which of course, reduces the risk of a heart attack!

The Omega-3 fatty acids also help improve your efficiency, strengthening your memory and protecting your nervous system from damage.
