When you are young and healthy, it never occurs to you that in a single second, your whole life could change – Annette Funicello
So true. And change isn’t always for the worse, but it’s not always for the better. When I was first diagnosed with Diabetes, everyone assumed it was Type 1 – the “skinny” Diabetes. Even my endocrinologist was convinced that my “honeymoon” period was gonna end with me being Type 1, not Type 2. 5 years later, I am still Type 2!
But back to the point… it never occurred to me that I would be dealing with Diabetes, at all. I think this is why I have become very proactive in telling people to stay on top of their health. What seems unfathomable, can actually come to fruition. And if you are on top of things, you are better equipped to handle it.
Cherish your health while you have it. Do what you can to keep it! Be active, eat cleaner, nurture your body, take time to rest… do what you can to stay healthy!
