This is an OLD favorite of mine, because I can very distinctly remember my Mom’s friend Carol always singing it when we would visit or hang out with her.
It’s a very cheerful, upbeat tune!
Now, some backstory… I used to be a worrywart. You name it, I worried about it. It didn’t get me anywhere (as they say, worrying is like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere), and was a lot of wasted emotions. It took a Diabetic diagnosis, and several subsequent hypoglycemic episodes for me to SEE and FEEL the effect that worrying was having on my health. And if you have ever had a hypoglycemic episode, you know how positively terrifying they are (like a really freaky out-of-body experience where you exhibit absolutely zero self control)
So, while I still do struggle with worries here and there (I am human, after all…) I’m not afraid to admit I have made GREAT strides, and instead of worrying I do more productive things, like work out stress, etc.
Take these song lyrics to heart… worrying doesn’t contribute anything positive to your life, and every second you spend worrying is a second you can’t get back! 🙂
