Sunday Shakeology – Watermelon Spritzer

Oh goodness, watermelon. There is nothing fresher in my mind. The smell, the taste, the texture… so delicious! I buy watermelon a lot in its peak months, and it never goes to waste!


Worth noting that this recipe calls for a little basil – we grow our own, and nothing beats that! Basil is another herb full of health benefits. Basil contains a wide range of essential oils rich in phenolic compounds and a wide array of other natural products including polyphenols such as flavonoids and anthocyanins. Plus, Basil is rich in vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin C, magnesium, iron, potassium, and calcium!
